Embassy Suites by Hilton Kansas City Plaza

I was disappointed in this hotel - not good value for the money. The room was depressing; the bathroom was tiny; the staff was not helpful - I asked about spare bedding and they were unsure where it was located. The internet is an additional cost. The parking lot is confusing, and no one explains how to use the card. The whole experience was not good.

Disliked: Older furnishings; staff not helpful.

We loved the 2 hours of free drinks and the nice hot breakfast. Rooms are very spacious and comfortable.

Liked: Spacious room and friendly staff.
Disliked: Pricy.

Liked: It was perfect for our stay. A central location within walking distance to The Middle of the Map Fest. Plenty of room (3 big beds) for my family to sleep comfortably. Great breakfast in the morning with lots of variety!
Disliked: A little pricey.

Great short stay hotel near...

Liked: Good price for the Plaza area, room was spacious, comfortable and cool. Impressively large lobby area, well maintained but quite dated decor.
Disliked: It’s very close to the hospital with frequent sirens through the night. The back of the hotel maybe quieter.

Times Change

Liked: I always like staying at an Embassy for the managers reception and the breakfast. The room designs are great.
Disliked: I have been staying at this property for more than 30 years but have t been in at least 10 and boy has the area around it changed. We could see a homeless camp outside our back window. Loud partying into the night in and around the hotel. The staff was great and they cannot control what is around them. Definitely not the place I remember.

Disliked: The room was dirty, dated and I didn't receive housekeeping when requested. Had to switch rooms and I was not happy paying for parking in addition to the high room price.
