It was very busy when we were there. Maybe the lack of adequate service was a result of that or maybe they are always busy and they don't care if they have repeat visitors. I actually was on a return visit. I have stayed there several times within the last 12 years or so and have always been very pleased. This was a real letdown and I honestly can not imagine ever booking there again.
Liked: They have a free breakfast and an evening reception - both are really very nice. The breakfast has an omelette station, bacon, sausage, pancakes, home fries, fresh fruit, cereal, pastries, etc. There really is something for everyone. The evening reception had some light snacks, wine, beer, and a couple of mixed drinks offered as well. I don't drink but it was nice to be able to get some fresh fruit into my boys instead of junk from the vending machine. They have an indoor pool as well as a workout room that we enjoyed. The pool is adults only after 10 pm which is kind of nice I think.
Disliked: I made our reservations well in advance, so I was a bit irritated I was not informed of work going on beforehand. It wasn't that big a deal because there were signs posted that said it would be only going on from 9am until 6pm. Well, of the three mornings we were there they began working at 7am on two of them and the only reason we weren't treated to drilling and hammering on Sunday was because they didn't work on that day. When I complained the first time they did apologize but never offered to let us have a different room. That didn't surprise me really because our interaction with the front desk was less than impressive. My son went to the restroom and realized there was no tissue. I called and asked for some. No one came and no one would answer the phone at the desk so I went downstairs to ask what the problem was and the line was 8 deep so I just went into the public lobby restroom and got some. Later when I finally got to speak with someone they laughed and said they had forgotten what room had asked for it. It took 3 separate trips to the desk to get the correct WiFi password and 2 to get the correct amount of breakfast tickets. The glass around the bottom of our room door was broken and there was visible dust on some of the lamps and tables. The elevators were really dirty and always very crowded because they were beyond slow.
