Embassy Suites By Hilton Hotel Montgomery-Conference Center

We reserved our room online and chose the 2 double bed options. Family of 4 with 2 small children...reminded the worker at check-in that we had 2 double beds and we were still placed in a room with a King and pull out sofa in the sitting room. Needless for say, for those of you that have small kids- putting a 4 year old and a 1 year old in another room by the front door (which unlocks when you open the door from the inside) separated by a mini kitchen is not the best idea. The hotel had no other rooms so we had to make do- my husband spept with one child and I slept with the other. We've stayed at Embassy Suites in Montgomery before without the kids and it was great, so we were very disappointed with this experience. At least, we should have been told at checkin that our room wasn't available.

Great hotel but watch out...

Liked: The room was great. Decent amount of space and clean. Air purifiers were in the room, which was nice. The bed was comfortable, but the pillows were not.
Disliked: The parking situation was not the best. They had their own parking lot that about 100 cars or so can fit, but the hotel was packed. The hotel was charging us $25.00 a night to park in the lot, even though we had to use an overflow garage that was only $6.00 overnight and owned by the city. The hotel told us they can validate it for us, but never told us that they we would still charge us the $25.00 a night for parking. I did not like the fact they were going to make $19.00 a night off of my reservation for parking in garage. I had to request that they remove the $25.00 a night parking since I paid the $6.00 myself.

I highly recommend this hotel

Liked: Lovely room, very clean, great breakfast, free drinks and snacks were a bonus. Hotel staff also very friendly.

Disliked: Bathroom dirty, no bath soap in shower, lukewarm water in shower. Breakfast was just okay. Would not stay here again, too many other choices.

Disliked: Crib needed sheets that fit. Not regular sheets. This is a safe sleep concern. Sheets should be tight and fitted to size of crib mattress
