Embassy Suites By Hilton Hotel Destin - Miramar Beach

Good, but not GREAT!

Liked: Great location to the beach, restaurants, and local shopping. Amazing beaches!
Disliked: I love Embassy Suites and choose them more often than not. However, this trip left me a little bummed about the dated building. Our bedroom was very warm, especially at night. We didn't rest well at all the entire 5 nights we were there. That's a problem for me, seriously. Secondly, the pillows were worn out and super flat. I asked for firmer pillows and received the exact same thing. The towels and wash clothes are very old and dingy, not what I expected from your establishment. Next, the elevator, only one was working until the last day, was very slow, and that was a bit annoying. Overall, it was a good trip, but because we paid several thousand dollars for the week, I was expecting a different outcome. On a positive note, I must say that all of the staff were great. Friendly and helpful, that was truly a luxury. I recommend that the breakfast buffet needs a variety of meat options. Sausage and bacon are great, but not every day. Unfortunately, I was eating the breakfast potatoes one morning, and there in the middle was a dead bug mixed in with the potatoes. I took the plate to one of the workers and she said, "That's not good... NO, IT'S NOT! I was horrified. We fought flies every morning during breakfast!

Disliked: The rudest front desk employee I have ever dealt with. My grand baby was teething and we were trying to comfort and soothe him to stop crying at bedtime. We received a phone call from a female at the front desk on 7/5/25 around 11pm threatening to evict us if we don’t shut the baby up. She would not give her name but was the rudest person ever! Zero understanding of a baby going through teething pain. Can’t handle her job dealing with situations. Handled everything the worst way possible. We were already stressed as we know the baby was in some pain. We paid a lot of extra money staying during 4th of July holiday. She needs to be retrained on how to handle situations. She has no business being in a position dealing with people. We will not go back to this Embassy hotel for this reason. I would not recommend this place to any families with small children! ZERO compassion. She said people in the room next to us complained that the baby had been screaming for hours. (NOT TRUE!!!) the crying only lasted a few minutes.

Disliked: First of all, they had an elevator down when we got there and we were there from Wednesday to Sunday there was not fixed. We have been staying there last three years and every year it gets worse. Flys in the dining area every morning the coffee was treble. We have always been able to check in early when we get there but to do so this year we had to pay an extra $50.00 dollars . Toilet flush valve was broken the whole time and every day that they cleaned the room it was not fixed.

Liked: Location of hotel is excellent, right across from the beach. Breakfast, and evening reception is excellent as well. Breakfast isn't just cereal.......... it's more of a buffet style. You also get omelets fix to order, coffee, juices, teas, and etc. Hotel staff is nice. Inside of hotel is very clean, and beautiful. Lots of area to sit.
Disliked: The amount of money being charged per night is very pricey, so the rooms should look way better than what they are. Furniture definitely needs to be changed. Sofa, and pillow had hole in it. Refrigerator wasn't cold at all. Bed was ok. Since bottled water is sold upon check-in, there is no need to have the $8.00 bottle of water in the room. Parents traveling with kids please watch out for this, because they will charge you. It's NOT free!!!!!!!!!!

Liked: Perfect for our honeymoon. Located right in front of the main beach. And alot of restaurants were close.
Disliked: Honestly can't think of anything negative of our trip.
