Embassy Suites by Hilton Chicago Magnificent Mile

The hotel location was perfect for our outings. We really enjoyed the friendly and helpful staff as well. Most importantly, the complimentary breakfast was excellent and we really enjoyed the variety of food options. Overall, a great stay and we look forward to coming back.

Liked: The location was wonderful. We were able to get an uber fairly quickly.
Disliked: The ROOM needs a little tender loving care. The carpet was ripped at the front door. I stayed in room 1611. The microwave was dirty and also the bathroom. There was urine around the base and dust all over the place.

Disliked: I reserved a room with a walk-in shower because I am handicapped and a tub was useless to me. I was also told by the clerk checking me in that all toilets have grab bars. Not true. The room didn't have them either. When I called the front desk to inquire about getting the room I reserved with a walk-in shower they informed me earlier in the day they tried calling me and left a voicemail inquiring if I still needed the handicapped room someone else wanted it. I was driving to Chicago and of course didn't notice a missed call. For some reason they thought it was ok to switch rooms for me. They had no other room so I was stuck. To me that is totally unacceptable! That decision affected my visit. I couldn't take a shower and using the bathroom was very difficult. The employee offered me $25 credit. That was insulting actually. I was charged a lot of money and it was not the room I reserved!!!

Liked: Location is great. Breakfast and breakfast staff fantastic. Manager with strong sevice orientation very helpful in solving problems.
Disliked: Front desk staff required a lot of customer follow up to solve relative simple situations.
