Passable

Liked: The hotel is in a great location.
Disliked: Other than the location, the staff and the breakfast - all of which were great, there was not one good thing about this hotel. I had just stayed at another Embassy Suites the previous 4 nights, so perhaps my expectations were too high. There was no consistency between the two properties. The lobby of this hotel was fine. The breakfast was excellent and Ginger, who worked the breakfast, was wonderful. The room was old, dirty and uncomfortable. It looked like they had bought a condemned hotel and done nothing to fix the rooms. Stains on the couch, dirty rug, awful room set-up and furniture. Chipped wood on furniture and on the bathroom vanity. The room was so disgusting that we all slept in our clothes on top of the bed, got down to breakfast at 7am sharp and then checked out. We didn?t stay 1 extra second. I wouldn?t return to this hotel if they paid me to stay there.

I did in my last...

Liked: Yes, those were fine
Disliked: Glasses and plates were left in the Atrium area for two days and and I know the staff had to see them because I saw it from the 2nd floor balcony and when I walked through the area. There should also be a indoor pool like most Embassy Suites and the Atrium area should be where the bar and restaurant should be, not in that small corner. That is wasted space with nothing to do, I?m not an Interior Decorator but I can give you guys some suggestions!!!!

A nice stay at a...

Liked: The hotel is nice and has a good location. There is a free city shuttle that takes you downntown near the harbor area or it?s a 20 min easy walk. The staff wes not very helpful suggesting things to do. Being such a historic city, they should prepare a sheet with things to see, especially since the Joseph Manigault house was across the street and was decorated for Xmas.
Disliked: The staff at the front desk could be more helpful. The staff in the breakfast area were very nice.
