A hotel with a lot...

Liked: Easy to find. Good location
Disliked: It was dirty. Used milk packs in the bin, dusty windows, dated facilities

My stay at the Elmhurst...

Liked: Location was good as well as parking was very good.Light above bed head and light above sink basin very helpful.Tea, coffee, sugar, milk and kettle was a nice welcome.
Disliked: First impression really heavy smell of bleach.Had to leave windows open for entire visitRoom was okay but hole in the floor was uncomfortable when trying to walk. No hangers or hooks meant hanging clothes on door hinges and back of chairs.Shower was okay but not alot of power.Hells Angels HQ around corner so heavy bike engine noise during the night.

Room of 2 halves. Ideal...

Liked: Short notice booking. Room ugraded to Delux. Not sure what the 'delux' was!However, the drastic total opposite to the Didn't Like were:- Free off road parking.- Excellent comfortable mattress.- Super clean white bed sheets, and pillow cases.- Clean duvet and cover.- Power shower was just like in any high end hotel (even if the control knob was broken).- Perfect WiFi.- Heater was excellent.
Disliked: Smell of damp on opening the door to room 34.Damp on shower room floor in front of toilet.Wall had damp and rising wallpaper.Sharing shower with 2 spiders and another flying insect.Shame, because this dented the overall experience. I suggest to get a decorator.
