Ellington Lodge at The Concorde

Would stay again.

Liked: Breakfast was included which is always a bonus and was very good. Had an evening meal which was very tasty and good choices. Staff were all very pleasant and helpful. Nice garden.
Disliked: Room a little bit dated, but served the purpose. Shame that we could not take advantage of the live entertainment - hopefully another time.

Avoid

Disliked: The whole corridor and the room had a very strong mould smell. WiFi is very poor too. Breakfast is served from 7:30am at the other building which is very inconvenient. I arrived by 7:27am and stood by the door until their staff came in at 7:34am and unlocked the door. Nothing was ready. It took 10mins to get my coffee and 25mins to get my fried egg with overcooked bacon. I did not have an opportunity to enjoy the continental breakfast table. This was extremely disappointing.

Great setting steeped in history

Liked: Setting was brilliant. Staff were friendly and very helpful when needed. Clean and was as expected
Disliked: If only had air con but knew it didnt before I booked. Rooms need updating but again knew before I booked.
