Liked: The breakfast was amazing! Great location! Quiet neighborhood. The southern hospitality match this beautiful old town!
Disliked: The market area had a great deal of homeless. It felt a little unsafe. The river area and town squares were lovely.

Liked: Wonderful stay in a classic home on a historic street. There is an excellent choice of items for breakfast and evening hors d’oeuvres, wine, dessert, and port are included! The inn is in a great location for walking old town Savannah.
Disliked: The only downside is the parking situation, which is a little complicated - less so on weekends, though.

Focus on room quality to...
Liked: Great location. Easy walking distance to all of the parks and the downtown. The room rating is poor because it is not clean the furniture and fixtures are poor and the room setup is awful with no bed side table for one side of the bed. The bathroom BADLY needs to be renovated- this bathroom must have been updated in the 1970s(or earlier). The whole suite is needing a very thorough cleaning including the rugs need to be replaced as they are filthy. However the breakfast service is EXCELLENT. The meals were delicious and the staff was kind and attentive - every staff member included in this opinion. Overall I would recommend the hotel but would not stay in room 131 again. Room 132 was left open because it was not occupied and we looked in. It was lovely.
Disliked: As above. Room 131 needs a complete renovation. The furniture and fixtures are awful. The furniture does not fit in this room. Cut back on the f and f and make it comfortable. Make sure that the room is cleaned thoroughly including dusting. The bathtub needs a grab bar or replace with a shower only. There should be a bedside table for each side of the bed. The TV is probably going to become an outdated fixture soon as people can use their phones or laptop if they want to watch some. Eliminating the TV would provide much needed space in this small room. I was not provided with any option of upgrading the room when I booked the room. In retrospect I would have paid extra to have a functional comfortable room as long as it was clean.

Nice location and accommodation for...
Liked: We enjoyed our 3-night stay here while exploring Savannah for the first time. The room was comfortable and overlooked the courtyard/garden. Breakfast was plentiful! You choose your main course from two options, then choose sides, the day before. Our only complaint was that the mains were very rich and salty and we couldn't just get a couple of eggs. But that may be southern cooking! Probably the most fun at the inn were the evening wine and appetizers offered in the parlor. Each day we gathered with other couples from all over the country to review our days, plans for the next day, etc. We ended up dining with one of the couples our last night. It was fun! We didn't have a car and the location was excellent.
Disliked: As I noted, breakfasts were not our favorite, but that may have just been our tastes. Our room was in the addition wing to the original house, so weren't that old, but that bath was quite small. Serviceable none the less.
