Superb

Liked: Great location, good breakfast, and helpful staff.
Disliked: Shower orientation in the bathroom was odd meaning a super narrow shape, shower curtain that you could not avoid, and lots of water going on the floor.

Good

Disliked: We booked this hotel because the Nordic Noir books series takes place in Gävle and the hotel plays a role in one of the books However we did not see any reference to the books in the hotel.

Beautiful place with amazing breakfast

Liked: Very beautiful hotel with the history, near to central station. Amazing breakfast with salmon served (very rare in Sweden). I will definitely come back, convenient location and pleasant stay.
Disliked: The room didn't have any proper window, it was located kind of underground with "fake" window. I would expect lower price for such room, although the room was spacious and nice.
