Good Hotel - Could do...

Liked: This is a big hotel with spacious room, swimming pool, gym and it is associated with Mariott Bonvoy. The Staff was very polite. The room has super comfortbale big bed(That you really dont want to get out of :-) once you are sleeping) and decently big bathroom. The swimming pool is open for long hours (0500 to 2300) every day and they even have 1 massage chair in the lounge area that one can use anytime of the day. There were a few bicycles too but we didnt get any chance to use them. Overall, the hotel is value for money in an otherwise expensive city like Boston,The hotel is also, reasonably close to the airport. The city has free shuttle buses to and from the airport. That bus stop is around 15 minute walk from the hotel stop (Assuming you are not carrying a big luggage).Do note though, the hotel is very far off from a bus stop. The nearest bus stop is a good 15 minute walk. We went during the time the weather, surprisngly, was pleasant. But on a cold day, it will be a torture to walk for 15 minutes. Also, the area gets eerily quiet in the night. The nearest restaurants are also a good 15 minute walk. So this can get very annoying for anyone dependent on a public transport in Boston.
Disliked: There are quite a few things that need to be improved on:-1) USD 25 resort fees per day. They were redeemable for USD 15 for any dessert from the Hotel opposite on the first day. And USD 15 per day (Excluding day of check out) was redeemable for anything purchased from the minimart within the hotel. The balance USD 10, they said , was for the high speed internet charges. I found this charge, not really worth it. I never understood what exactly is the concept of a "resort fee". If i am paying for the room, why should i, ideally, be paying for anything more that i dont even want ?2) The room cleaning was done only once in 5 nights that we were there. I would have expected the room to be cleaned daily.3) The AC inside the room was very weird. If i switched it on, it would turn on only after 15-20 minutes and if i switched off, it turned off after 15-20 minutes. Also, the temperature control seemed more like something a rocket-scientist had to work on to set it on the right temperature. My wife only managed to figure it in the second last day of our stay when in the middle of the night, the AC just would not cool enough after an engineer had to come and show it to her.4) The swimming pool is nice, but its not plain water but saline water. So it gets very painful in the eyes if you stay there for a long time. Also, the pool has only 1 common room for changing and shower. So if someone goes inside, you have to wait for him/her to come out before you use. Ideally, there should be provisonings to have separate changing room for Women and Men.5) There were 2 Massage chairs in the lounge, but one had a broken plug. That was never fixed during the time we were staying. This should get fixed.6) The breakfast had just 1 hot item for vegetarians. It would have been great to get 3-4 of them for vegetarians. The cold ones had a lot of healthy variety. They did advertise smoothies, but during the 5 nights we were there, we never found any during breakfast.

Hotel that overcharges and provides...

Disliked: I stayed in the Element Boston Seaport District hotel for 5 nights with my family in April 2025. However, the hotel overcharged us for our stay - adding an "extra person" charge and associated taxes to our bill. I contacted the hotel the day after our departure and the staff member at the front desk acknowledged the hotel had made a mistake. However, it took a series of phone calls to the hotel and booking.com over a period of four weeks before I managed to secure a refund. I ended up incurring currency exchange charged for the additional fee we were overcharged, which was a result of the hotel's mistake. I also spent over €60 on transatlantic phone calls to try and communicate the issue with the hotel. In summary, the hotel stay cost me a lot a more than it should have, due to a mistake arising from the hotel. The hotel's customer service is extremely poor and certainly the worst I've experienced.

Superb

Liked: Nice rooms and the price are fair.
Disliked: I paid with a company credit card, so there were some movements due to the deposit, and some duplications, it was a little bit difficult to follow on the charges back and forth, but at the end the right amount was paid and no major problems.

Great place to stay before...

Liked: Property was within minutes of the seaport. It was very comfortable and had a great restaurant across the street for dinner. The breakfast was very good and the 24 hour access to an espresso machine was greatly appreciated
Disliked: Nothing
