Not at all what I...

Liked: Room was ok, but overpriced. Breakfast was ok.
Disliked: Not as expected. More of an Air BNB than a hotel. Access via back door into very chaotic, family corridor. Grass area covered in dog poo. No evening meal available and pub, which is part of the "hotel" was also closed. The food was a problem given the remote location. Originally booked for 4 nights but left after 1. At least they only charged for one night.

Had a great stay here...

Liked: Lovely village and setting. Really pleasant hosts. Really good choice at breakfast. 1.5 miles to Avebury - pleasant riverside walk.
Disliked: The attached pub (New Inn) is only open Thursday to Sunday

Liked: Beautiful view from the window. Exceptional breakfast. Generous, attentive hosts. Comfortable beds. Walk in shower. Flexible breakfast time, later checkout time than most places. Free complimentary drinks. Clean, comfortable, felt like home.

Liked: Really nice building, room and food. The owners are lovely and made our stay super lovely.

A little bit of extra...

Liked: Wonderful, family run place where we were made to feel welcome and at home right away. Perfect down to every detail. The facility to have a later breakfast and checkout than most places was perfect for our autistic children. The food (both breakfast and dinner in the Inn) was exceptional. The beds were the most comfortable I have ever slept in, I usually struggle to nod off but was fast asleep within a few minutes of my head hitting the pillow. We popped back to freshen up on one day and were brought coffee and home made scones. Complimentary drinks for the mini fridge in the room was a very welcome touch. I could go on, but to sum up I wish booking.com would let me add extra points because Elderbrook House is over and above what you would expect from the highest rated properties in its category.

Warm family-run B&B with a...

Liked: We visited Lacock Abbey and Avebury and chose this B&B, which is only five minutes from Avebury. The room is large enough for two and the bathroom is very spacious with a large bathtub. The owner said we could use the tub as many times as we wanted and my friend used it twice: evening and morning! The greatest sales point of this B&B is the breakfast: they provide a breakfast menu slip which you fill in with what you want from a list of individual items such as fresh juices, cereals, porridge, fruit plate, etc. as well as several set plates including a full English breakfast, eggs benedict, etc. I had eggs royal plus a fresh orange juice, cornflakes, and a fruit plate. When we checked out, they gave us a paper bag of water bottles, kitkats and apples as well as a doggie bag of the fruit I left over from the breakfast. Highly recommended.

Welcoming and relaxed stay that...

Liked: Very welcoming from the moment we arrived, nothing was too much trouble. Invited us to join their quiz night, which we all thoroughly enjoyed! Amazing food! Breakfast was delicious. They catered for my daughter’s peanut allergy amazingly putting us all at ease.
Disliked: Nothing! It was all fantastic!
