Wonderful stay on a historic...

Liked: Loved the history of the motel. Location was perfect for all we wanted to do.
Disliked: Nothing

Would not stay here again.

Liked: The exterior courtyard is pleasant.
Disliked: The layout of the complex is strange. It's hard to find the hotel registration. All surroundings were closed when we stayed there (a Monday night), so the place felt very lifeless. Also the neighborhood seemed devoid of pedestrians. It was too chilly to sit outside, so we had to borrow some of the patio furniture for our room. For what we got, it seemed overpriced.

Liked: This was my fourth time staying at the El Vado Motel. Great spot in a central location. Friendly staff. Good vibes. Can't wait to go back.

What a comfortable, retro motel...

Liked: El Vado Motel is a retro delight. It is even more charming than the photos show. The pool lights up at night in changing colors, and the courtyard is just gorgeous. The room is lovely, and I was delighted to see that instead of offering wasteful little plastic bottles of such things as shampoo, they have dispensers; the coffee mugs are ceramic and the water glasses actual glass, so no wasted styrofoam or plastic there either. There was an extra blanket and extra towels. Unfortunately, we arrived late at night and couldn't spend time lounging at the pool or in the courtyard, so I will have to come back for two or three days. Since the motel is in the older part of Albuquerque, I would love to have walked around the old square. An excellent Mexican restaurant is nearby. Love this little retro motel with all the modern conveniences.
Disliked: There is nothing I didn't like.

A great place to stay...

Liked: Location was walking distance from old town, which is neat. The facilities were also very nice and well maintained.
Disliked: There was some mold in the shower and there were no pool towels, plus the pool hadn't been cleaned in a while.

Disliked: Room was smelly and our air conditioning dirty and TV were not working properly. We had to change rooms but it was the same experience in both.

Great place to stay while...

Liked: Location was great a short walk to old town. Cute room comfy bed. Great shower. Pool area very nice.
