El Royale Gardens Near Universal Studios, Studio City

Great place to stay for...

Liked: Friendly staff, free parking, big rooms and only 12mins walk to the universal shuttle to the park.Some restaurants, a Starbucks and 7eleven very close by.
Disliked: Nothing!

Liked: Clean, practical, free parking, good value, near Universal Studios and walking distance to some restaurants and coffee. Staff was very attentive.

Perfect for what we needed....

Liked: The staff was friendly and very helpful. There was ample parking. The area felt safe and quaint. The interior design was fresh, modern, and clean looking.
Disliked: The room wasn’t as clean as I was expecting. I noticed little stains here and there and there was a little bit of weird smell either from cleaning supplies or from the AC, not sure. It wasn’t intolerable or bad by any means and I WOULD stay here again.

Good stay that served it's...

Liked: Very close to Universal Studios Hollywood walking distance even. Room was clean. Walking distance to 7 Eleven, groceries and places to eat.
Disliked: The outside of the hotel on the bungalow side needs a face lift. New paint and a little more cleaning. The A/C is a little loud and the street noise can be a little loud too. Restroom vent was dusty and the patch job on the ceiling wasn't too attractive.

Disliked: Checking in process is tedious. Having to check in next door at the other Royale, when staying at the Gardens is annoying.Staff is wonderful and I understand they are just doing their job but making guests email the confirmation to the royales enail address at checkin took too much time when they had me in their system already. I couldn’t find it in my phone and stood there looking and looking and looking. Was hungry and tired, it just seemed like an unnecessary step, It should be easier/quicker. There’s got to be a more efficient way.
