Liked: It was a really nice place The rooms were clean. Staff friendly. And close to sights
Disliked: Needed to have USB plugs in the room not all overseas travellers will have adapters. The aircon unit was very nosey in the room

Exceptional

Family trip, two rooms, comfy...

Liked: The thoughtful style and decor is so comfortable and cool. The trees, birds, and nature surrounding and shielding the property - feels like an escape. :)
Disliked: the air conditioner in one of our rooms was quite noisy. also we had a little brown water debacle while we were there but it turns out it was a citywide issue! they gave us some free water and made sure we were updated on the situation.

Full of charm and comfort

Liked: We absolutely adored this property. It was very conveniently located within 10-15 minutes of the sites we wanted to see and excursions we booked during our stay. The staff were incredibly helpful, communicative , and accommodating. The events the El Rey hosted, which we were lucky enough to enjoy while there, were a pleasant surprise. Every city needs to have a local jam night. It was so much fun to join in. The food truck was exceptional — portions were shareable and options plentiful. And the swim club offered a perfect place to chill and rest after a day out on the town. I highly recommend staying at El Rey if you are looking for a non-resort option in Santa Fe. Full of charm and comfort.
Disliked: I would recommend for anyone staying over 2 nights that you automatically offer housekeeping.

A perfect way to experience...

Liked: Beds were comfortable and room was very clean. The decor and ambiance was wonderful. It really captured the energy of Santa Fe! We took a dip in the pool with our two teenage daughters which was a nice relief after a long drive. There was a cocktail cart in the courtyard and two gentlemen making delicious wood fire pizzas. Overall a great experience!
Disliked: Everything was great!

$5 for a morning cup...

Liked: Over $5 for a decent cup of coffee. Only instant bad coffee in the rooms. Coffee in the lobby runs out two minutes after they make it and then isn’t refill so they can rip you off at the exorbitant food truck.
Disliked: Bad coffee. Bad service.
