Would repeat
Liked: New rooms, beautiful decoration and details, elevator, parking at the door. Big gym, many bars nearby

A very comfortable stay in...
Liked: The hotel is cute and clean and the room was comfortable. Dinner was great (I had the burger)
Disliked: Breakfast was not nearly as good as dinner and was a bit disappointing. The waitress did give me a to go cup of coffee when I was hitting the road, and that was a nice touch.

Superb
Liked: I love that the old buildings being restored. I grew up in the area and it was heart breaking to see the downtown area get so rundown.
Disliked: There was nothing we didn't enjoy.

Excellent hotel and excellent value.
Liked: The property was comfortable and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. The decor looked great and in great shape if not new.
Disliked: It would have been nice if they had a rate option that included breakfast. But, the breakfast restaurant was very good and the prices were reasonable.

Excellent stay in Merced
Liked: Very nice boutique hotel in downtown Merced. Excellent staff, lots of good cafes, bars and restaurants nearby. Free parking with multiple spots available.
Disliked: Deposit of 100$ per night not mentioned at all on Booking (it’s a common thing in the US unfortunately). We mentioned it to the manager and he reacted accordingly, which was a big plus.

Liked: Booking with Booking.com was not giving me an option to book for August 1st wich it was the night, I need to rest from a long trip. Booking.com were not answering my call. Not a good experience. I show El capitan staff that I was not able to book for what I need it. And they told me to book it anyway. When I did El capitan staff did not want to honor that my reservation. Finally one of the hipanic gentlamen was able to help me and give the room for Aug 1st. The hotel noise was to loud from the car on the street and I could not sleep from the air codition fan. I did let the staff know at the time of check out.
Disliked: Booking.com were not answering my call. Not a good experience.
