Liked: We loved the helpful and happy staff here. Nothing was too much to ask, and we made sure they knew we appreciated their help as well.The room we had been assigned wasn't what we were expecting, and we were offered a change immediately. We were very thankful.We asked for the mini bar to be removed and customised things for our visit with items we use regularly, and the hotel was happy to bring a kettle to our room to allow us to make tea, and an ice bucket every evening for our drinks. We found the mall 6 minutes walk down the road and had absolutely anything in the food court we could want.The tapas spot recommended to us by the staff was spot on for evenings as well.After very hot temperatures out each day we were thrilled to find inside the main doors was cool flavoured water and sweets beside a comfortable bench which meant we were able to sit and compose ourselves as soon as we hit the air-conditioning inside. The day we left, we were offered a packed breakfast to take as we were leaving so early. We asked if we might choose our own items rather than waste food they may give us, and they were happy to give boxes to do that.I had plastic bags that kept everything fresh, and they were great from the fridge in the morning.
Disliked: Our room wasn't what we expected, and I believe this is due to complications between dealing with booking.com and what's seen as available at that end.I would always call the hotel ahead from now on to confirm what we've booked. While the flavoured cooler water was a benefit, unfortunately, we watched one of the older gentlemen attendees poor the overflow water from beneath the cups into the main drinking water as he replenished it.I hope this isn't normal practice as it would be a huge hygienic risk, and as it was when we were leaving, we didn't get a chance to mention it.The rooftop pool was much smaller than expected and had no shade, so we weren't able to take advantage of it.

Liked: Thanks for warm welcome every morning in the breakfast also at reception. All staff was so friendly and pleasant. Great location everything is around,you’re in the city heart.
Disliked: I like everything. It’s my favorite place in Barcelona for today.

Liked: The rooftop area was excellent and they brought surprise champagne for my husband's birthday. It was unexpected. The rooms are spacious, which was great.
Disliked: Our shower was uneven so it would take time to completely dry up, though the drainage was good.
