Liked: View of the river.
Disliked: The room apart from a refurbished bathroom was mean and depressing, tired and distressed desk chair bedside table and clothes closet, mirror distressed clothes shelves stained, tea and coffee facilities spartan, no mineral water, no hotel information or local information available in the room, carpet was thin with stains. For a cost of £164 for one night with breakfast , I left feeling ripped off and unhappy. I reported all this too reception twice and was told my observations would be passed to the management .

Liked: All food was good. Room was a bit chilly particularly as windows were draughty. Room was tired looking with a mixture of styles
Disliked: Warner room. We did ask for a heater which was provided

Liked: Clean, comfortable and excellent breakfast. Staff were all pleasant and helpful.
Disliked: Nothing

Disappointing

Liked: Breakfast was great and location /grounds are beautiful. The young man at the bar was very courteous and efficient and also seated us at breakfast next day in the same friendly manner.
Disliked: Reception staff need some customer service training. Check in time was 3pm. Room not ready till well after 4pm. Not so much as an apology and eventually an explanation of staff shortage after challenging being told for a second time room was not ready. On check out just handed a piece of paper in exchange for the key. Probably scared to ask how the stay was however even a thanks for booking, enjoy the rest of your day would have been nice.For the money the interior is a bit tired but it was certainly clean enough
