The Spotlight on Edmonton Inn and Conference Centre

Comfort-First Stay Near Edmonton's Music Scene

Modern and functional, the Edmonton Inn and Conference Centre offers a no-fuss stay in a handy location along Kingsway Avenue. Just minutes from downtown Edmonton, it's close to major event venues and attractions like the Royal Alberta Museum and Kingsway Garden Mall. With practical amenities like free WiFi, an on-site restaurant, and 24-hour front desk, this hotel makes it easy for music fans to focus on the show.

Why Concert-goers love it

If you're catching a gig downtown or at the Shaw Conference Centre, you're only a short drive away—about 9 minutes. The hotel’s late check-out (12:00) gives you extra time to sleep in after a late night, and the 24-hour front desk means you can roll in at any hour. While not in the heart of the nightlife, it offers a quieter post-show retreat, with easy access to taxis and rideshares for getting around after dark.

Who this Hotel is great for

  • Groups of friends heading to a show together
  • Solo travelers ticking artists off their bucket list
  • Couples making a weekend of it
  • Fans looking to recharge in a peaceful setting after the concert
  • Budget-conscious concert-goers who want value and convenience

Food and Drink Options

The hotel features an on-site restaurant, meaning you don’t need to wander far for a bite before or after the show. While there’s no 24/7 room service, late-night food options are accessible nearby, especially with Kingsway Mall just minutes away. Breakfast is available and ideal for those needing a slow start the next morning.

Nightlife Options

Though the hotel itself doesn’t offer live music or a buzzing nightlife scene, it’s a short ride to downtown bars, clubs, and local lounges. It’s a great option for those who want to enjoy the show, then head back to a quieter base.

What People Say

Guest reviews consistently mention the friendly front desk staff, clean rooms, and the value for money. Many guests appreciate the large rooms and easy parking. Those attending events like concerts or conferences comment on the hotel’s convenient location and overall simplicity.

Areas for Improvement

Some guests note that the hotel feels a bit dated in places, and the soundproofing between rooms could be improved. There’s no bar or lounge on-site, so if you’re looking to keep the party going post-show, you’ll need to venture out.

The Bottom Line

An affordable and well-located choice for concert-goers who want a simple, quiet place to rest after the encore.

William, Terrace, visiting Rogers Place

Plan on eating somewhere else - don't eat at this hotel; service was very poor and food was worse.

Liked: The manager was helpful.
Disliked: I wouldn't recommend eating at this place; we tried 3 locations and 3 strikes and you're out, it was gross.

Rude staff and awful work...

Liked: Nothing in particular. But the location is decent.
Disliked: I did not like Lina from the front desk. She is probably the worst and most racist person I've met. A customer was in front of me and was waiting forever. The front desk lady (Lina) was complaining on the phone about the person before us for a good 5 minutes before she even acknowledged us. Then she wouldn't acknowledge the black man standing beside me because he was lined up in the "wrong line for help". Later confirmed with the manager that this is apparently the way they do it at this location... so all the bad behaviour seems to be encouraged by management. The way the staff talked to me was different than with the other man of colour beside me. Never knew that people still talked down to others the way she did. After this ordeal, she got to my reservation and started to berate me because I was not entertaining the way she acted. So she talked down to me after that as well. She could barely do her job properly. My room smelled like old water/mold. Stains on the wall and a toilet that ran all the time. This hotel is not for the faint of heart.
