Liked: Beautiful historic home. Quiet location within walking distance to the Royal Mile. Helpful and kind host.
Disliked: The upstairs west side room was very hot. I am always cold, so for me to say it was hot is a big one. Even with all the windows open and it being cold outside, the room would not cool. The owner provided a small fan, but there were no outlets near the windows to bring in cool air.

Loved place and staff. Perfect...
Liked: I had a wonderful stay overall. The room was very clean, cozy, and comfortable exactly what I was hoping for. The staff truly stood out, they were friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. I want to especially highlight the cleaner, who was exceptionally kind and polite, such a lovely person who made a great impression.The location was perfect.
Disliked: I only gave4 stars for the facilities only because the shower wasn’t ideal. Aside from that minor issue, everything else was fantastic. Would definitely stay here again!

Exceptional
Liked: The room was perfect - very big, clean beautiful decorated.
Disliked: It would have been great to have 2-3 bottles of water in the fridge or a vending machine in the lobby. The shops are not so close and they all close at 10pm.

Liked: Received free upgrade to ground floor family room and therefore didn't have to carry my big suitcase upstairs.

Was a lovely comfortable room...
Liked: The room was huge and very comfortable.
Disliked: It would be great to have a small fridge in the room for drinks and snacks.

Pleasant
Liked: It’s a long walk but you can walk into Edinburgh or take the bus. Check in was earlier than other places. The staff there helped me to carry my suitcase up the stairs.
Disliked: The shower was tiny and it would be hard to fit in it if you were taller. There was no AC but you also couldn’t open or close the window that was cracked.
