Liked: The room was fairly clean but needs a facelift. Very dated. Linen awful. Only 1 pillow each. Curtains falling down. Windows filthy. Shower ceiling peeling. Breakfast fair but again all very dated and could do with a refresh.

Cheap should mean basic, not...

Liked: Location was perfect for visiting Edinburgh & seeing the tattoo.
Disliked: When we booked, we did book cheap. We had no intention of spending time in the room other than to shower & sleep. To me, cheap should mean basic...not dirty. Dirty table cloths & broken place mats in the dining room. Skipped breakfast on the second day. Dining room window ledge had not been cleaned in months, it was black. The shower head didn't stay up the pole to get under to hair wash, had to tie it up with a hair bobble so we could stand under the water. Hand wash so watered down there were no suds.

Liked: It was close to the centre I loved this guest house the lady who we seen every day was so lovely i didn’t get her name I will be booking here again to stay when I return to Edinburgh thanks so much xx

Overall cleanliness was good. Locality...

Liked: The location for the city centre was great, just a 30 minute walk.
Disliked: New mattress needed. I got into bed and it sunk in the middle. Had very uncomfortable night and didn’t sleep well. Pillows weren’t to good either and were two flat pillows in one pillowcase
