Edgewater Inn - St. Augustine

Would stay again and hope...

Liked: Great location and value! Room was very nice for being older. Dining area was charming with beautiful water views. Delicious breakfast included.
Disliked: It was a great place but the person in the dining room never smiled once and barely even looked at us when she took our order. She was efficient but unfriendly.

Loved this Inn

Liked: Looked for a unique place to stay this trip over. The view of the Bridge of Lions over to the old town of St Augustine, from patio right outside of room was great!Hospitality was exceptional! This will be my go to from now on!

Would recommend this place without...

Liked: We stayed there once before and found it just as great this time. Room and bathroom suit us perfectly, a step-in shower insted of having to climb into a bathtub. The staff and owners go out of their way to please the guests. Daily housekeeping including filling up toiletries. Breakfast offers good choices and the daily free Happy Hour spread including wine is a wonderful thing. Great to meet new people. The location right at the eastern end of the Bridge of Lions is perfect just to walk into the old town of St. Augustine without having to battle the heavy traffic and finding an affordable parking lot. The view of the bridge and across Matanzas River is gorgeous. We would stay there anytime again.
Disliked: A couple more sun loungers by the pool would be nice (one of them was broken). Maybe think about putting up a shelf in the bathroom to put things on.

Liked: It was a great location with a great view of the river and downtown St Augustine. It was a short easy walk over the bridge to shops, restaurants and the Fort. Rooms had been updated and were very clean. The homemade Hors d'Oeuvres and wine in the evenings and made to order breakfast in the mornings were a nice surprise!
Disliked: The cement pool in the parking lot is an eyesore.

Liked: The back door leading to the patio had half the weather stripping missing on the bottom of the door. This allowed for cooler evening air to enter the room.

It was relaxing.

Liked: Our room had an amazing view of the lights.
