Edgewater Inn - St. Augustine

I would not recommend this...

Liked: The room was "ready" when we arrived before 4 pm. They served breakfast in the morning and they had a social hour that they provided.
Disliked: I understand an older hotel/motel however; the room was not clean and the building was so old and looks like basic maintenance had not been done in years. There was a chair in the room that was filthy, chairs were provided to sit outside which was very nice but it was so dirty outside. It appeared these bugs and dirt had been there a long time not to mention the holes in the roof.I am now concerned about my future reservations I have made through booking.com based on this experience. This hotel was highly recommended by Booking.com.

Liked: Location, location, location.Good size room. Comfortable bed. Excellent patio with comfortable rockers looking out onto the river. Great to sit and watch the world go by.All within easy walk of St Augustine.Breakfast is basic but good enough
Disliked: The noisy air con. By far the worst we have ever experienced!

Liked: Gorgeous view with Patio over look inner harbor. Easy access to bridge to walk over & explore downtown St. Augestine . Great restaurants & shops

Liked: Our stay was excellent. Clean spacious rooms with great breakfast free parking and a small pool.The room has everything you need for your stay.The hotel is located close to the city center, all places of interest are within walking distance. In the evening you can enjoy the view of the city center, the famous bridge with lions, watch yachts and boats sailing.I recommend this great place !

Disliked: The pool area needs some love and attention. It’s very clean but has old and worn out pool furniture and zero sun protection.

Liked: Such a beautiful little spot over looking the water and the historic St. Augustine. The staff was great the breakfast was delicious and you couldn't get better views. Although we couldn't fish from the hotel right next to it is the lions gate bridge and we walked over to it and had fun catching some fish.
