Room good, housekeeping very slow....

Liked: Huge suite, we didn’t need a kitchen, good for a family with dinning area and living. Gulf view is not the same as a beachfront which has a full sea view so check this out, our view from the corner of the balcony you could see the sea but not when sitting in the lounge. Clean and tidy. Housekeeping for this level hotel was exceptional slow most days our room was not cleaned before 4.00 pm and one day 4.45 and we left the room at 10.00. This impacted our stay as we like to come back around 2-3 but had to stay by the pool. Pool beds were insufficient and guests placed personal items from 7.30 onwards to ensure they got a bed and if you didn’t join this approach, no bed!! It has a sign saying if you don’t return in an hour then loose the bed but this didn’t happen. Lack of parasols for shade. The beach system of checking guests meant long qs for the beds a better system needs to be found. Slow service generally for drinks and food except at the pool bar this was efficient. Air con very loud ear plugs required. Good location and shuttle service very helpful. Eat in 5th or 3rd

Liked: It was right on the beach, nice big rooms, friendly staff, and very clean
Disliked: The only thing I can say that I did not like was it’s a very expensive

Nice hotel right on beach,...

Disliked: Bikes were in terrible shape - its a shame that Edgewater actually charges for them. One actually broke on the last day we rented and we had to walk them both back to hotel. With hands filthy from grease trying to fix chain!. We were still charged for both bikes!! Gift shop attendant said she could not do anything when requested at least not to be charged for the one bike. Attendant said she would ask manager but we never heard any followup. Mattress in sofa bed was very very uncomfortable for the 3rd person we had in Suite We had a constant tap, tapping sound coming from kitchen area. Kept some of us up at night. Told housekeeping staff, not addressed. It wasn't clear to us at check-in or at the beach what lounge chairs we could use and not use. It made us feel uncomfortable

Nice place and location but...

Liked: Staff was friendly room was great, location and beach were great
Disliked: Non he room key was a NUISANCE.. to have no complimentary breakfast and to have to pay to use an umbrella on the beach is annoying and cheap. When we checked out there was a couple checking in and they got complimentary breakfast and free umbrella with their room and we heard what they paid and it was the same as us.. SO DISAPPOINTED we paid good money and didn’t get any perks

Disliked: We got a room with a clogged toilet and a telephone that did not work. After our complaint, the toilet was fixed only next day, but the telephone was not fixed at all. We paid for the room $1350/day. Very disappointing.
