Great hotel, but bit pricey

Liked: Great location, easy to walk around and reach "downtown" Edgartown by bike, car or Uber. Enough options to have breakfast in the neighborhood. Super friendly staff, spacious, clean rooms, comfy beds and clean bathroom.
Disliked: Price/Value is ok. It's a nice hotel and I can recommend it without any hesitation but paying close to 695 USD per night for 2 people is a stretch. 15-20% less and it would be a great price/value perception.

Exceptional

Liked: Very conveniently located.
Disliked: Room was on second floor and no elevator. Shower did not drain property and ran through the faucet while the shower head sprayed.. the lighting in the bathroom is too dim.

Overall it was good

Liked: It was a cute property with nice furnishings and cute shark signs in hallways which I thought was a nice touch.
Disliked: The wallpaper in the room was peeling, and the lamp shade had discolored, giving it a dingy look. At the restaurant, the atmosphere was nice, but the service was very poor. The sushi bar appetizers and my meal came out quickly, but the rest of my family’s food didn’t arrive until more than an hour later. We eventually had to track down a different server, and only then was their food brought out cold. Our original waitress was nowhere to be found, and when it came time to pay, my husband had to wait an additional 40 minutes. She never came over to apologize for the delays or to check in on us

Disliked: The hotel looks tired, could do with re-decoration and brought up to date.

Nice location; horrific customer service

Liked: The room was wonderful as was the location. Clean and spacious; lovely setting; walkable to downtown Edgartown.
Disliked: However, the issue with this hotel is a staff member. While the rest of the staff was kind, respectful and helpful, there is one woman who stood out from the rest as disrespectful and unwelcoming. Kinesha at the front desk was extremely rude and had a serious attitude problem. She berated me over a technical issue that the hotel had over being able to charge a credit card. We had already paid the full amount via Booking.com and there was some sort of connection issue between that site and the hotel’s system. It was later resolved but she wanted to double charge us, and we did not want to be double charged. We were completely calm and just wanted to solve this issue but she raised her tone with us. I was standing next to my wife, whose jaw a gasp, as I saw how this woman talked to my husband. I would never talk to anyone in the tone she spoke with, especially to a guest at a hotel. The interaction made us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome the rest of our stay. I felt like I was not able to fully relax and that I was walking on eggshells. If management knows what is good for this hotel, this woman will be terminated immediately.
