Eden Hotel Früh am Dom

Nice hotel in a good...

Liked: The location was great, right next to the cathedral and our room had views of the cathedral even. It was a large comfortable room. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We were even allowed to check in a bit early.
Disliked: It isn’t the fault of the hotel but in addition to views of the cathedral most of our view was a construction site. I didn’t really notice a noise problem though.

Liked: Location is excellent, meters away from the Cologne Cathedral. Rooms were large and comfortable.
Disliked: Construction of apartments and hotel ongoing, noisy and will likely be going on for at least 2 years. No airconditioning in rooms

Not an option in the...

Liked: Location
Disliked: Too hot!! No way of cooling off during warm summer days since there is no air conditioning and if you leave windows open at night the noise from the construction next door will wake you up starting at 7 am!

Disappointing

Disliked: We chose a room without aircon but then changed so all good

Would never stay here again

Disliked: Cosmetically new but actually very run down. The bathroom that we had for a double was terrible. Oversight on my part as I didn’t read everything, just assumed that there would be an ac in this day and age. So even though they supplied us with fans the rooms were terribly hot and humid.

Liked: Easy walking distance from the railway station and close to the Cathedral. Large room.
Disliked: Was warned about construction work close by, it did start early in the morning.

Go somewhere else

Liked: Location was good, except for all the loud construction and no view. There is no AC, staff wasn’t friendly! Go somewhere else!!!
Disliked: Everything
