We got what we paid...

Liked: there was no breakfast
Disliked: Keep the door to office/registration unlocked

Pleasant

Liked: The price was right. The room was well serviced.
Disliked: The room lacked some basic things. For example no coffee maker or microwave or place to hang clothes. We were there for a formal event, and there was no place to hang our formal clothing (suits, dresses, etc.) That was disappointing.

Exceptional

Wasn't expecting much, but..

Liked: Location was very good. It was the first time I've ever had a damage deposit request.
Disliked: Floors were pretty dirty, and we had to keep our shoes on most of the time. As a smoker, I usually get as far away from AC units as possible. The room smelled like smoke as soon as we opened the door. I believe that it is because there are butt boxes mounted at every entrance, next to the AC units. We did have the deposit returned. It was pretty outdated, but it was a bed and a roof over our heads.The other thing that bothered me was being told what a great deal we got. To me, this is an issue to be discussed with Booking.com, not the customer. Just my opinion, of course.

Liked: location was good. no breakfast
Disliked: communication and coordination between booking.com and the hotel was terrible and needs to be improved. I would guess that would be on booking.com.a little irritated with the collection and refund of the security deposit.
