Econo Lodge Watertown

Very poor- especially given the...

Liked: I was overcharged for stay. Still waiting for refund from EconoLodge for second night (7/18/25) that was cancelled at the time of check-in on first day (7/17/25). The out-of-state automobile travel to SD (1,400+ miles) was because of the funeral for a very dear friend with an immediate return home for important Family matters. The lack of response by EconoLodge to resolve this matter (after phone call and e-mail efforts) has only added additional discontentment with your organization. This EconLodge experience was a poor demonstration of hospitality and customer service.
Disliked: Customer service, hospitality, follow-through and attitude of front desk clerk at check-in and his apparent lack of ability to better represent EconoLodge.

Rude worker. But decent place...

Liked: Pillow was comfy
Disliked: The guy who worked there at night and in the morning was rude. He was annoyed when we got there because we must’ve woken him up. He finally came out after ringing twice for service, stood at the top of the stairs and said “what do you want?”….. really?! Then came down not talking, throwing the room cards down. Just rude.

Disliked: It had a stale smell to the hotel that lingered on clothing when not in hotel, the drain in the shower didn’t drain so water would rise when taking a shower
