The Spotlight on Econo Lodge North Academy

Affordable Comfort Just Minutes from the Music

Modern yet simple, the Econo Lodge North Academy offers a no-fuss, budget-friendly stay in northern Colorado Springs. Located right off Interstate 25, this pet-friendly hotel puts you close to major attractions like Garden of the Gods, Pikes Peak, and—most importantly for music fans—just a short drive from downtown concert venues and the United States Air Force Academy.
Rooms are spacious and practical, with great walk-in showers and satellite TV for a comfy wind-down after the show. Plus, free WiFi and parking help keep things easy on the wallet.

Why Concert-goers love it

If you’re catching a show near downtown Colorado Springs or the USAFA, you’ll love the quick highway access this hotel offers. The area stays relatively quiet at night, making it a solid choice if you need to crash after a late set. With flexible check-in from 3:00 PM and a breezy check-out at 11:00 AM, you’ve got some wiggle room to sleep in after a night out. Ride-shares are readily available in the area, and the hotel’s location near major roads helps make late-night travel a breeze.

Who this Hotel is great for

  • Groups of friends looking for a budget base with easy access to shows
  • Solo travelers catching a once-in-a-lifetime gig
  • Couples making a weekend of it near the mountains and music
  • Fans who want a quiet spot to recover post-concert
  • Budget-conscious music lovers who’d rather save for merch than lodging

Food and Drink Options

You’ll get a free continental breakfast every morning—perfect if you’ve been out late and want something simple to start the day. While there’s no on-site restaurant or bar, you’re surrounded by a variety of walkable dining spots and cocktail lounges just minutes away. Late-night cravings? Several nearby fast food and sit-down options stay open late.

Nightlife Options

While the hotel itself doesn’t offer live music or a bar, it’s just a short drive or ride-share away from Colorado Springs’ downtown nightlife. You’ll find bars, lounges, and music-friendly breweries with local vibes and occasional live acts. It's easy to enjoy the scene, then come back to a quieter place to recharge.

What People Say

Guests mention the great value for the price and appreciate the clean, spacious rooms. The location near the highway is frequently praised for its convenience to both concerts and local attractions. Staff are noted as friendly and helpful, and the pet-friendly policy is a bonus for those traveling with furry companions.

Areas for Improvement

Some guests mention that the hotel is a bit dated in décor, and the breakfast is basic—think toast, cereal, and coffee rather than hot buffet. A few reviews note that the walls can be a little thin, so light sleepers may want to pack earplugs just in case. But for the price? Most agree it’s a solid deal.

The Bottom Line

A convenient and affordable stay for concert-goers looking to enjoy Colorado Springs without blowing their budget.

Becareful in the showers

Liked: Had comfortable bed
Disliked: The shower needs to put safely strips down in the shower. I fall getting into the shower. Then I was told I was the only one that has fallen. Which I don't believe that . Plus the grab bar is at the back of the shower where I couldn't reach it. Plus we had to plunger the toilet .
