Econo Lodge Newton

Rough place; would not recommend to anyone; poor condition; dirty; buggy; bad.

Liked: Nothing.
Disliked: Dump; burn holes on sheets; bugs; dirty.

Disgusting place to stay. If there was a room available in the area I would have left. My family slept on sleeping bags and wore shoes in the room. Room 101 had a moldy bathroom, clearly long term. Dust everywhere and the furniture certainly had not been cleaned in months. Econo Lodge should take their name off this place.

Liked: Breakfast included.
Disliked: Dirty furniture; dirty walls; moldy shower and smelly room.

Would have been nice to have had a chair or two out by the door to sit and enjoy the great weather. Carpets need to be upgraded (at least in our room) but other than that it was great.

Liked: New mattresses; friendly people; very clean rooms; nice towels; excellent restaurant next door; quiet.

Poor

Liked: The shower was hot, the thermostat worked good. The bed was comfy.
Disliked: The bath sink faucets both leaked. The TV remote was dead. There was cigarette smoking next door in the morning. As soon as I got out of shower I had to do everything else in the bed area since the smoke smell was so bad. No stand for opening suitcase.

Bad

Liked: Closer to the veneue of the event that we r attending
Disliked: Strong smell of smokes in the room.. I couldn’t stop coughing all night.

Liked: we love to stay there the owner Stff are very friendly room are super clean and there is a great Italian restaurant right next door ..

I suppose I got what...

Liked: The check in clerk was very nice and the location was very convenient. That's about it.
Disliked: The bathroom floor was dirty in a handicapped suite, and the cleaning crew clearly did not thoroughly mop the bathroom floors, leaving dirt and debris in the corners of the room. The lighting was dim and the chair in the room was badly stained.

Liked: The front desk night person was very helpful, and polite despite my many interuptions very late at night. He was very understanding.
Disliked: The room is dark, with dark wood floor, which is also creaky. The chairs are stained with who knows what - obviously not cleaned in who knows how long, if ever. All the crevices in the walls could use a deep-cleaning, maybe even a coat of paint. Actually, the room (possibly, rooms) should be redone completely, you know, gutted and updated. Years of wear and tear were evident.
