The Spotlight on Econo Lodge Long Beach I-405

Affordable Comfort Just Off the I-405 in Long Beach

Modern, clean, and budget-conscious, Econo Lodge Long Beach I-405 is a great pick for travelers looking to stay close to the Long Beach concert and nightlife scene without breaking the bank. Located right off the Pacific Coast Highway, this hotel is a short drive from key music venues, beaches, and downtown entertainment. With free Wi-Fi, complimentary parking, and a relaxing hot tub, it's geared for convenience and low-key relaxation.

Why Concert-goers love it

You’re just minutes from Long Beach’s top music venues and nightlife spots, making it easy to catch a show and get back without hassle. With free on-site parking and a location right off the I-405, the hotel is easy to reach whether you're driving in or grabbing a ride share. While not a party hotel, the atmosphere is relaxed and quiet—ideal for winding down after a loud night out. Plus, the 3:00 PM check-in and 11:00 AM check-out times offer flexibility for late-night returns.

Who this Hotel is great for

  • Groups of friends looking for a budget base before hitting live shows
  • Solo travelers attending bucket-list concerts
  • Couples planning a chill concert weekend
  • Fans who want a quiet place to recover after the encore
  • Budget-conscious music lovers who want value without sacrificing comfort

Food and Drink Options

Start your day right with the complimentary breakfast, served daily—perfect if you were out late the night before. While there's no 24/7 room service, the hotel does offer on-site BBQ facilities, and you're just a short walk or drive from plenty of local eateries and late-night bites. Select rooms also include a mini fridge, coffee maker, and minibar, giving you extra flexibility.

Nightlife Options

While the hotel itself is more low-key, you're close to some of Long Beach’s best bars, lounges, and clubs. Hop in a ride share and you’ll be at waterfront bars, rooftop lounges, or live music spots in minutes. The on-site bar is a handy bonus for a low-key nightcap.

What People Say

Guests consistently praise the cleanliness, friendly service, and great value for the price. The free parking and easy highway access are big pluses, especially for those attending shows. Visitors also love the quiet rooms and comfortable beds—ideal after a high-energy night out.

Areas for Improvement

Some guests note the rooms are on the smaller side and the decor a bit dated, but most agree it's a fair trade-off for the price. There’s no elevator, so pack light if you’re staying upstairs. Also, while the hotel is close to venues, you’ll likely need a car or ride share to get around efficiently.

The Bottom Line

If you're heading to a show in Long Beach and want a budget-friendly, clean, and convenient base, Econo Lodge Long Beach I-405 hits all the right notes.

Liked: this has always been a great place to stay !!
Disliked: The last 3 times that we've stayed there, there has continued to be "live bugs in the room walking around both during the day and at night" !! + management has been specifically advised of same.

Childish Property FrontDesk/Manager Behavior

Liked: It was a horrible experience. Stayed one night but paid for 2 and property manager/front desk stopped answering bookings.com phone calls and refused to respond to their multiple emails to request a simple modification date. Childish business behavior and because they weren't communicating with each other, we had to suffer the result of it.
Disliked: The front desk/manager refused to accommodate our request. We booked and prepaid for a 2-night stay from Friday to check out on Sunday, however, on Thursday morning, due to a family emergency, we needed to cancel the first night.I called bookings.com and they advised it wasn't a problem to make modifications, they ONLY need the property to approve on their end either via email or by phone. The front desk/manager purposely stopped answering bookings.com calls because we followed up 4x's and said they have been trying to call the property and no one is answering. However, I called using a different phone to the property and front desk immediately answered. Bookings.com was still on other phone & heard the front desk talk to me saying that he couldn't do anything because bookings.com "has my money" and there was nothing he could do. However, bookings.com is telling me on the other phone that they've already submitted the changes, they just need to approve it.After that conversation with the property on one phone and bookings.com on the other phone (literally on speaker so that they can hear each other), bookings.com agreed to cancel the first night and keep only 1 night (as requested). They just needed the property to respond to them.Anyways, fast forward to check-in on Saturday - they claimed they didn't have the reservation.I called bookings.com to see what was going on and they confirmed that my reservation was still "open and active"... went back to front desk and gave them the confirmation # and they found it. Then to top it off, arrived in the room and it was so run down and had a distinct awful smell, was sooo over it, and ready to leave the next day.BTW - The front desk pretended not to know the situation about my request to booking.com and didn't care about what I asked for...just kept playing it off. This was the WORST of the WORST experience ever.
