Why Concert-goers love it

This hotel scores major points for its proximity to downtown Savannah's venues—you're just a short drive away from major concert halls and late-night spots. The property is set in a quieter area, so post-show recovery is peaceful. With a 15:00 check-in and 11:00 check-out, there’s some flexibility for fans traveling in or out. Free parking means no late-night parking stress, and the free coffee and tea at the front desk is a nice touch for unwinding after a show.

Areas for Improvement

Some guests mention that the hotel could use a few updates in decor, and the lack of on-site breakfast or dining options might be a downside for those wanting everything in one place. But for the price, most say it's a worthwhile trade-off.

The Bottom Line

Taylor, Kingsland, visiting Savannah Civic Center

Liked: Nothing was good.
Disliked: After I checked in, I went to the room and could just push open the door, the lock didn't work. I went to the front desk to ask for a refund and the front desk attendant called her boss. Her boss said that he would not give me a refund but would put me in a different room. I went to the Savannah Civic Center as I didn't have time to fix the issue. On the way to the Civic Center our Uber driver let us know that there was a shooting there last Saturday. It is an awful neighborhood. There are grown men lingering in the hallways from a construction site. I'm guessing, ready to flirt or pounce on any woman that walks through the door. Do not stay at this hotel!

The front desk clerk, "Sunny"...

Liked: The breakfast was awful. Not much selection.
Disliked: A mattress that fits the bed frame. My friend gashed her leg open by hitting the bracket to the bed frame that stuck out 3 inches from the mattress.

Get what ya pay for!

Liked: The ac was very cold!
Disliked: This is an older motel. Needs updates. Bed frame was too big for mattress. And most of all, the pool was not open! Also, breakfast is served in the office/lobby, which is a whole separate building. Didn't participate in that either morning. No coffee pots in rooms either. The shower's facet was difficult to work. Had to ask at front desk how to work. You get what ya pay for I guess. But will not be returning here to stay.
