Liked: Room was nicely updated. I think I took a photo, if I remember correctly, of the style of tile work in the bathroom as an idea for our upcoming update. My wife thought the room looked nice. Being right of the Interstate is always nice, especially when you can see the hotel from the interstate.
Disliked: Breakfast was there but it was not really anything to write home about. Surrounding area is dingy looking but it was winter. More of a motel with outside walkways to rooms versus the rooms inside a building itself where you don't have to worry about freezing if you walk out of the room without a coat and boots on.

Liked: It was modernity decorated, and very clean. It had everything g we needed.
Disliked: No towel bars, odd material on floors, but also nice that it wasn’t carpet, which can get icky. And of course, the price was outrageous because of the eclipse. But what could we do?

Please read through all reviews on multiple sites and notice pattern of this hotel owner threatening customers until they leave and then refusing to refund their money.I reserved a room at Sure Stay by Best Western in Findlay, Ohio on Booking.com, on Friday 4/4/24. On Saturday, we had some health concerns for a fanily member at home and realized we may have to go home early from our trip. I called the hotel and let the manager know. At the time he told me his name was Jay but Best Western Corporate tells me his name is actually Raul Patel.“Jay/Raul” informed me that he could not give me a refund because the reservation was made through Booking.com. He told me he had multiple potential clients who wanted the room and to please let him know what I worked out.I reached out to Booking.com and they immediately agreed to refund the money when I told them the situation. The Booking.com rep reached out to Jay/Raul to discuss this and he immediately adopted a rude tone and informed us “I Will NOT refund the money because YOUR plans changed.” The rep and I were both flabbergasted. I told him we were experiencing an emergency and that I must have misunderstood his original advice when he said he had multiple people who wanted the room and to call Booking.com.I quietly told my husband that the person I was talking to was being rude. He heard me say this and went completely unhinged. He screamed, wouldn’t let me get a word in edgewise, and threw “Karen” slurs at me 3 times. I was in tears and asked him not to scream at me. He said “I can SHOW you screaming in about 3 seconds” I asked if there was a manager and he told me he was the general manager and there was no one higher than him.It was clear he was not going to help me and I was crying as my kids in the backseat could hear him screaming at me. I asked him to disconnect so I could finish speaking with the rep from Booking.
