A little dated but a...

Liked: Not as bad as some reviews have said. It is obvious they are trying to update the rooms, but it is quite dated and tired. Great to have free parking, free Wifi and free breakfast. Breakfast is very basic but it's better than nothing. Comfortable, good sized room, good bed. We had a fridge and a microwave in our room.Coffee in reception 24 hours. We walked to the Metro supermarket and the area is busy with shops, takeaway places and students. It's not as bad as we were expecting from other reviews. We would stay here again.
Disliked: While the area around the hotel is not as bad as some reviews claim, there are homeless people around. However, we have found this to be the case in almost every place we have stayed while in Canada. So we were expecting this.Breakfast is basic, but free, so what do you expect? There is bread, English muffins, cereal, cake muffins, OJ and coffee. Nothing fancy just a basic something to start the day.

Room is great, area is...

Liked: Room was complete, clean and adequate. Tv is user-friendly with a single remote. However, freezer in small fridge has not been defrosted since ?, if ever. Property is going thru renovations, so patience is necessary.
Disliked: Immediate area/surrounding is questionable with certain characters on sidewalk. I parked in a well-lite area. Seems some people actually 'live there', on the premises.

Disliked: No hot breakfast eggs sausage bacon could do better check in time to late would expect the room to be ready when I get there after being booked in advance
