Stay away unless you are...

Liked: Fairly quiet considering its location at junction of 2 main roads. Good wifi.
Disliked: I knew when I booked, this place was inexpensive but didn't realise it would be so cheap. Can't get more 'budget' than this place. It is just a step above a shelter for homeless and addicts.When I dropped my bags into their storage room several hours before check-in, I reminded the reception that I needed a room with a fridge for my medications. When I checked in, the fridge in the room was not working. Nor was the bathroom light and no toilet paper. It took the manager nearly an hour to 'find' a replacement fridge. I refused to pay until I was satisfied the room was ready. The room's air con is a portable unit that sits on a chair and plugged into an external duct near the only window. I asked for non-smoking but clearly it has been a smoker's room in the past. No coffee machine or kettle. Nowhere to hang clothes.

Pleasant

Liked: This hotel has character in abaundance. The rooms were very comfortable and spacious, nice coffee for breakfast and the staff were very friendly. The staff also provide 24 hour reception and security.
Disliked: The area of town is very rough and there are obviously drugs about. Lots of people loitering around the hotel the whole time. The staff seem to spend most of their time chucking people out and playing to parent to these problem people. Without these social problems on its doorstep it would an extremely nice motel. I do wish it all the best. Water leaked through a bathroom ceiling light while I was there which was quite dangerous

I didn't get to stay...

Disliked: I was told to cancel my reservation and I would get my money back, due to no vacancy. Which didn't happen. They kept my money and didn't respond to me or booking.com. unreal! That was the last of my money and I can't believe that they kept my money afterwards.

Good

Liked: Cheap and simple. Good for one night. Clean enough.
Disliked: The room does not lock properly from the inside

Very poor

Disliked: This location seems to attract loitering people. Some just sat at the entrance and smoked. At night there was shouting. The three lane one way street it’s on sounded like a raceway (but in all fairness, all the hotels on this sreet will hear this).
