Exceptional

Got what I paid for...

Liked: Location was good. Close to tube station and to shops / restaurants.
Disliked: It was so basic. I know that’s the idea but it was minimal in the extreme.

Staff lovely, the hotel sadly...

Liked: The staff were extremely friendly, which made it difficult for me to raise the issues with them as I don’t feel there is really anything they could do to change the issues I came up against.
Disliked: The room was extremely basic, beyond what I was expecting with the term “basic”. The room was directly behind the check in office and main door to the building, the room was an accessible room so had a large bathroom and some space around the bed (however not sure would be wide enough for a wheelchair). The only thing in the bedroom was a bed and a small tv on the wall. There was no bedside table or shelves so had to have our phones charging on the floor. There was no wardrobe spaces or storage so our cases were just in the way, which again may cause issues for those in wheelchairs. With being right behind the office and the main door there was a constant flow of people through the evening with the door being heavy this meant we were woken up constantly with loud slams and conversations. It was almost impossible to get a phone signal while in the room and the hotel WiFi would not work either. This made it difficult to arrange plans with our friends.

Liked: Basic but exactly what I needed for a comfy and convenient stay in central London for 2 nights. Very comfy bed, decent shower and friendly receptionist.
Disliked: Faint dirty mark on bathroom towel and some areas in the bathroom could've done with a deep clean as slightly tired looking.

Liked: Good location, clean and room air conditioned

Liked: Very clean and in a safe area. Don't expect luxury or a large spacious room. It is tiny but has a loo, shower and wash hand basin A nice large towel is provided too. Perfectly adequate. My only complaint is as there is no lift a room on the 3rd floor wasn't ideal being 80 and having a bit of arthritis in my knees

Good price (for London) and...

Liked: Positives - the cost was low for a hotel room in London and I was able to check in early and the staff were very pleasant
Disliked: Expections were managed based on low cost but even then the airless, windowless room had a suffocating, jail cell-like feel to it - it felt like being a prisoner or a hostage! Very unpleasant and the temperature was alao too warm. Facilities were clean enough but absurdly small and limited. I had to sleep in bed with my belongings because space was so limited and I could hear everything in the neighbouring rooms including someone snoring all night both nights. My attempt to get another room on the second night was unsuccessful because I was told it was fully booked and nothing else was offered so I checked out at 5am the next day.
