The Spotlight on easyHotel Glasgow City

Affordable Comfort in the Heart of Glasgow

easyHotel Glasgow City is a budget-friendly, no-frills hotel located right in Glasgow's vibrant city centre. With compact, air-conditioned rooms, private shower facilities, and flat-screen TVs, it offers a clean and convenient base for travelers looking to explore the city or catch a live gig. Just a 15-minute walk from both Glasgow Central and Queen Street stations, it's well-connected for arrival and departure — even after a late-night encore.

Why Concert-goers love it

This hotel’s location is hard to beat — a quick 5-minute walk lands you at Glasgow Royal Concert Hall and other key venues. Its central spot means you can grab a bite or a drink before or after the show without trekking across town. While the hotel is on a bustling street, the rooms are air-conditioned and designed for sound sleep. With check-in from 15:00 and an early 10:00 check-out, it’s best suited for short, focused stays — ideal if you're only in town for the night.

Who this Hotel is great for

- Groups of friends looking for a central, low-cost crash pad
- Solo travelers attending a must-see show
- Couples making a weekend of it without breaking the bank
- Fans who want a quiet, minimalist space to crash post-concert
- Budget-conscious music lovers who'd rather spend on tickets than luxury

Food and Drink Options

While there's no restaurant on-site, you're just a 5-minute walk from many cafés and eateries. A coffee shop right below the hotel makes grabbing a morning brew or late-night snack easy. Breakfast isn’t included, but nearby options open early enough to help you recover from a late night on the town.

Nightlife Options

You're steps from Glasgow’s nightlife scene. Head out to nearby bars, pubs, or live music venues to keep the party going after your concert. Though the hotel itself doesn’t have a bar, its central location means you won’t miss out.

What People Say

Guests love the excellent value for money and the unbeatable location for seeing Glasgow on foot. Many mention the hotel’s simplicity and cleanliness, and how easy it is to walk to venues, shops, and transport links. Reviews highlight the staff as helpful and the rooms as basic but efficient for a short stay.

Areas for Improvement

Rooms are compact — think more “sleep and go” than “relax and lounge.” There’s not much storage space, and check-out is early for those who partied late. Some guests also noted minor street noise, so pack earplugs if you're a light sleeper.

The Bottom Line

easyHotel Glasgow City is a smart, simple base for concert-goers who want to stay central, sleep soundly, and save money for the music.

Pleasant

Liked: Reasonable close to trains and city
Disliked: On our honeymoon trip, booked for one night as on way to Edinburgh for Military Tattoo. Booked a double bed, got two twin beds and to bmake matters worse the shower and toilet were so small you had difficulty washing with the shower curtain sticking to you.

cramped and depressing, an orange...

Liked: beds were comfy enough i guess.
Disliked: Room was way too cramped, there was a significant lack of useful items that could have been placed in the free spaces. For example, there was no shelf and no bedside table. It meant I had to shove most of my belongings on the floor. The hotel also ruined a part of glasgow for me in the beginning because the view from the outside window made the place look bleak.
