The Spotlight on easyHotel Birmingham

Budget Stays Just Minutes from Birmingham’s Music Scene

Modern, minimalist, and super central – easyHotel Birmingham is a great option for concert-goers wanting a no-fuss place to crash after a big night out. Located just a 3-minute walk from Birmingham New Street Station, it puts you right in the heart of the city, with bars, restaurants, and shops all around. Rooms are compact but comfortable, with air-conditioning, en-suite showers, and heating to keep things cozy year-round.

It's an ideal base for exploring Birmingham’s live music venues and nightlife – all without breaking the bank.

Why Concert-goers love it

This hotel’s biggest draw is its prime location. You’re within walking distance of multiple music venues, including theatres and arenas, and just steps from public transport. It’s perfect for those catching late shows – no expensive taxis needed. The vibe is low-key and budget-friendly, so you won’t be disturbed by party noise or rowdy guests. While check-in starts at 15:00 and check-out is at 10:00, the option to store luggage (small fee applies) is handy for those arriving early or leaving late.

Who this Hotel is great for

  • Groups of friends looking for an affordable crash pad after a gig
  • Solo travelers ticking off a dream concert
  • Couples spending a weekend exploring Birmingham’s nightlife
  • Fans who want a quiet space to wind down post-show
  • Budget-conscious music lovers who’d rather spend on tickets than accommodation

Food and Drink Options

While there’s no restaurant on-site, you’re surrounded by walkable dining options – from late-night kebabs to trendy burger joints. Bars and cafés line John Bright Street, and the Bullring’s food court is just a short walk away. There’s no breakfast included, but with so many nearby spots offering coffee and a bite, you won’t go hungry.

Nightlife Options

Step outside and you’re in the thick of it – bars, pubs, and lounges all within a few minutes’ walk. The hotel itself doesn’t offer live music or a bar, but that’s no issue when you’re in one of Birmingham’s buzziest nightlife zones. Whether you’re after pre-show drinks or a post-concert wind-down, you’re in the right place.

What People Say

Guests love the central location and clean, simple rooms. Many reviews highlight how easy it is to get around the city from here, especially for those travelling by train. It’s often described as “great value for money” and perfect for short stays. The air-conditioning and heating are also big pluses, especially during extreme temps.

Areas for Improvement

The rooms are definitely on the small side – best for sleeping, not lounging. There’s no free WiFi or TV, and luggage storage comes at an extra cost. But if your priority is location and affordability, these are easy trade-offs.

The Bottom Line

For concert-goers who want a clean, central, and budget-friendly place to stay, easyHotel Birmingham hits all the right notes.

Liked: I booked the room last minute but the price wasn’t too high. The room was cozy and clean, and the staff members Rachel and Amit were very helpful with checking in and introducing the facilities. Overall a very good stay

Superb

Liked: The staff were friendly and helpful, the bed was comfortable and the room was very clean. It's located within walking distance of the train station, the coach station, and two main shopping districts, making it easy to get around the city.
Disliked: The room got hot quickly when the air turned off

Passable

Liked: Very clean hotel and in a great location, two minute walk from the main train station.
Disliked: Very small room, only barely enough room either side of the double bed to get in and out. Large hole in the bathroom door which acted as the handle, but you could see straight into the toilet from the bed. Also there is no solid wall for the bathroom, the shower is the divider with some questionable frosted glass. Not an ideal set up when sharing a room with others.

Very good

Liked: I felt the room was good value for money. Only issue was we were straight over the cocktail bar so music didn't finish until gone 1.00 a.m. and started again around 8.00 a.m.
Disliked: It would have been nice to have a table or chair to put our clothes on. A double room is ok for one person not for two people. As the weather was bad we struggle for somewhere to put our wet coats. It would be great to have hooks on the back of the door so you are now carrying your wet coat further into the room.
