Superb
Liked: Great value for one night dinner, bed, breakfast, with pool/spa/gym. It far exceeded what I expected against what I paid. The evening meal in the Tempus restaurant was lovely. The staff Euan and Ben were great.
Disliked: The only thing that surprised me was that when I went to tip the excellent restaurant staff, I couldn't do so via the card machine.

Lovely hotel, excellent value for...
Liked: Excellent value for money. We were given a free upgrade when we booked it so had a nice spacious room. It didn’t cost much more to add dinner and breakfast and we enjoyed the restaurant as well as it being good value.
Disliked: Bit of queue at reception when we first arrived but nothing to worry about

A lovely night away.
Liked: Lovely grounds, great swimming pool, good menu selection and prices for dinner and breakfast. Superb quality for money. I liked having fans in the bedroom. Quiet location.
Disliked: The photos make it look like a period house but all the facilities I used were in a modern block. I’d guessed this would be the case so not really a disappointment, rather an observation.

Overall good
Liked: Monday breakfast was excellent as were the staff on duty. However Tuesdays was very poor. Nothing being filled up no scrambled eggs told only done to order but there on Monday. 1 cold fried egg left and cold hash browns a couple of sausages few beans all of which were cold. 2 muffins 1 croissant and a couple of pancakes.we told lady member of staff on duty about it but she was surly and said you've to order scrambled eggs. Nothing was filled up and we were well within time limit for breakfast. Evening meal menu was limited with no regular British food on it but the staff were excellent as were all other members of staff throughout our stay. As there were no pubs or restaurants near we ate in the hotel in the evening. Room was good but bathroom tiny. We asked for a ground floor room and got one which we were pleased about.
Disliked: Evening menu.choice. Attention to breakfast buffet when needs replenishing.

Good
Liked: This is a large hotel complex which caters for conferences and weddings as well as travelling guests. We had booked two double rooms for four of us on a half board basis. The rooms were of a generous size with a large bed and the all important tea and coffee making facilities. Whilst busy, we didn't have a problem getting a table in the restaurant although I think it is best to pre book. Similarly whilst the pool got busy at times, we were still able to enjoy a swim.
Disliked: On arrival we were advised that half board actually meant a meal allowance of up to £29.99 per person for meals in the restaurant. I didn't see this mentioned when I booked but in practice the four of us had 8 meals over the two days and we didn't pay any extra. On balance the arrangement worked well. We discovered a problem with the bedding as we were about to go to bed. A call to reception resulted in a visit to the room by the duty manager who resolved the matter even though it was late in the evening.
