Liked: the location was great, hotel common areas were funky and smart, bar area and restaurant looked nice and good lay out. reception staff were helpful and went to check if there was any space in the car park for me and lent us a plug adaptor.
Disliked: no room in the car park as it was full, before we arrived I was offered an upgrade to a room with a bath, the price difference wasn't that much so I up graded. the room I originally booked stated in was on the upper floor. the upgraded room was above the bar and outside seated area, big mistake. loud music with a thumping base that shock the whole room until after 01.00am. the checkin staff must have know the music would disturb this room but said nothing.the carpet by the bed was wet later found out this was probably because of the odd shaped basin in the room the water splashed everywhere. odd layout to the room with tv almost over the bed. don't often write a bad review as I try to do my research before booking somewhere but I got this one badly wrong, overpriced only good thing was the location!! Love Hamburg and often stay there but won't be going back here.
