Exceptional

Liked: Honestly I?d go as far to say that this hotel is a hidden gem in NYC. I was so impressed by the staff, the location and the complimentary breakfast (which is hard to find in NYC) I highly recommend this!

Clean, cute and convenient

Liked: The room was contemporary but not overly stuffy. The decor was simple but provided everything we needed on our stay. Plus there was a fully stocked kitchenette in room! The bed was upper comfortable, too.
Disliked: I expected the location to be loud and it was especially on Saturday night. Bring ear plugs since even with the windows closed you could hear everything on 9th St.

Small but quiet rooms but...

Liked: The location was close to where our friends live in the East Village. Lots of good restaurants in the area. The cleaning staff were excellent. Considering the location our room was quiet and comfortable.
Disliked: Breakfast is at the next door cafe, unfortunately the breakfast is poor and the cafe staff are rude and really hate to provide services to the hotel and their guests. The cafe really is an example of the soup nazi and would not accept my breakfast vouchers so I had to get the hotel manager to go with me to the cafe to give them a talking to. There is a much better breakfast option just down the street. It would be better to have a lower price and go where food is better. The hotel could use a lift as we had to haul our luggage up to the 4th level but this is the east village where elevators have still not been invented.
