Could be so much better

Liked: Location. Bar staff really good. The shower.
Disliked: The room. Tired. Light coming in around the door frame disturbed sleep. Curtains ...hooks missing. Wonky lamp shades dated furniture.

A lovely stay in this...

Liked: This was our first stay at this hotel, although we have visited it many times in the past. The hotel is nestled in beautiful Sussex countryside and as you drive up to it, the buildings make an impressive sight. Check in was friendly and efficient. Our hotel room was spacious with a large bathroom where there was a separate bath and shower. The towels were of a high quality as was also the bed linen. The breakfast was a buffet and quite superb, with a range of fresh fruit, bean to cup coffee machines and tasty hot items. We really enjoyed our stay and will be back.
Disliked: We had a twin bed room. One of the beds looked like someone had been laying on it. The room wasn’t cleaned very well on the second night and perhaps more supervision of staff is required? The rooms are also getting to the stage where an update of the carpet and soft furnishings will be required.

Excellent hotel in a great...

Liked: Breakfast was very good. Excellent location for the restaurant. Staff not overly attentive but enough staff if needed anything.
Disliked: Hotel probably ready for a bit of a refurbishment but generally in decent condition. Spa available to residents is always a bonus.

Great for business, even better...

Liked: Beautiful location, rooms were large and spacious, most overlook the greens with a balcony. Food was excellent as was the pool and gym on site.

Attention to detail required.

Liked: The setting, is stunning.
Disliked: Attention to detail required. Deeper cleaning. Staff to be more welcoming and accommodating. Areas are tired but could be improved with quick fixes! Have stayed here 5 times. This was the most disappointing.
