The people at the hotel were pleasant and accommodating. Just wish the top bunk was more secure and had a barrier or rail.

Liked: Clean and we could come and go as we wanted.
Disliked: Wish the top bunk had a railing. It does not!

Thank you so much for your hospitality! From my first contact and through our entire stay the staff extended every courtesy and professionalism - qualities I value the most.

Crummy hotel, good location...you decide...

Liked: The location is perfect.
Disliked: We booked this stay primarily for the rooftop, but we weren't told that it would be closed for construction during the dates of our stay. No explanation, no apology, just a tattered sign taped in the elevator stating it was closed. The rooms are comically tiny and the other remaining open common space was run down and dirty. They are understaffed and do everything in their power not to interact with guests; most of the time, no one is even onsite. The junky AC window unit rattled all night and leaked all over my clothes. When I informed staff upon checkout about the leaky AC unit, I was met with nothing more than a shrug and a surly grunt. The male staff member was rude, unhelpful, and clearly in the wrong line of work.

You don't get what you...

Liked: Location
Disliked: The room is very small . Not enough room for two people to stand. It's not what the photos show you. Floor was dirty and overall not very clean. AC was also loud.

Needs TLC - I'd Search...

Liked: Location was pretty greatThe sheets were nice / bed really soft but comfortable The rooms were cleanShower was hot
Disliked: They only hold your bags until 3 p.m. so if you have a late train or flight you're kind of out of luck The rooftop, which was the main reason we booked, was closed for renovations for the month (in the middle of the summer?). The basement was also "under construction" and the rooms were too small to really hang out in. All common areas in general were in rough shape - for example, there was a coffee pot and coffee, but no stirrers or napkins or lids or place to sit and drink said coffee! The gentleman who manned the front seemed like he wanted to be anywhere but there and was not helpful. (The lady from the first day was great)

Great location and useful kitchen,...

Liked: I stayed at this hotel during my trip to New York and overall, I was satisfied. The biggest advantage is the excellent location – the hotel is very close to a subway station, which made getting around the city super convenient. The air conditioning worked perfectly, which was a big plus during the hot days. The shared kitchen was very useful – we made breakfast there every morning, which saved us both time and money. I also appreciated that we could change towels and bed linens ourselves. There was also a shared rooftop terrace, which offered a great view of the city
Disliked: The rooms are really small – so compact that we couldn’t fully open our suitcases. That might be a downside for some travelers, but it didn’t bother us too much, as we only used the room to sleep and shower. We spent most of our time exploring the city, so the limited space wasn’t a big issue.Overall – a hotel with a fantastic location and useful amenities, just be prepared for very compact rooms.
