Fantastic stay, would love to...

Liked: The setting is really peaceful and picturesque and it’s a beautiful building.

Clean . Comfortable and welcoming

Liked: Lovely location and the staff were very welcoming . Lovely spotless large room . Very comfortable with lovely garden view . Excellent quality breakfast .
Disliked: Nothing

It was ok but probably...

Liked: Good location approx. 15 minutes by car to Scarborough. Quiet. Pub and chippy within a short walk.
Disliked: The cleanliness mainly. It wasn't terrible, just needs a lot more effort. Things like having to clean the shower head as it was dirty isn't something we expect to have to do on a trip away. Dusty cobwebs on the walls. Dust on the wardrobe shelf and on the light fitting. Sticky marks on the dressing table. Dust all over the extractor fan. Hairs and debris in the drawers. Stains on the bedding even though they were washed it's off putting. The headboard has seen better days. The hotel could be great if more effort was made and I hope that the owners take these comments on board.

Disliked: The breakfast was well below what I expected for that actual cost of it. Blackpudding like rubber Tomato rawBacon tasteless Hash browns cheap crapFruit offering an apple [if your gona offer fruit give more options]Staff who cleared our plate didn't even bother to enquire if everything was OK , even though our plates were hardly touched.Had to chase bar staff for second drink.

Very good

Liked: Good value accomodation. Had everything you need & clean
Disliked: Decor was drab would want to stop for more than a couple of night but cant fault it for what they charge. We were in the lodges & plumbing was noisy, some had a shower 2 rokms down & it woke us up.

Tranquil

Liked: Loved the tranquil location. Staff really friendly, beautiful full English breakfast, to set us up for the day. Rooms quite modern. Everything you need.
Disliked: We stopped in number 21 and this is the only thing that let the property down was the creaky floorboards above that were quite bad. We were woke when they got up at 5.45ish.

Enjoy the stay, minor tweaks!

Liked: Apart from the flies and food not covered up and no poached eggs, it was okay.
Disliked: As above and possibly a biscuit with tea in the room would have been nice.
