Great stay, lovely venue.
Liked: Unfortuartley your young staff team were very slow, little bit of a shame but I feel this is the norm for this age group. Your older staff were spot on.

Good stay apart from uncomfortable...
Liked: Comfortable bed, fabulous staff, great pool
Disliked: No means of cooling our room which was extremely hot, just like a sauna! We were given a fan but it did not help to cool the room. There seemed to be an issue with the heat in many parts of the hotel.

Rubbish stay better at holiday...
Liked: The building
Disliked: Very hot in rooms no water tea given in room. Windows dirty. Waiting for stuff during breakfast, ordered poached eggs turned out like boiled eggs. Dinner waiting hours between starter and main then when it arrived over cooked and very little portion for a lot of money. Dirty outside from food waste, no ash trays dirty tables. Not enough staff for the amount of guests.

Worst hotel stay ever
Liked: Room was acceptable but not 4 star. Clean but dated with worn carpet, and not all lights worked. Beds were very comfortable and a/c was great.
Disliked: This is the worst hotel stay we have ever had. Had to wait at reception before a disinterested young man came to check us in. We had the worst dinner. Waited 30 mins for one starter, which arrived luke warm and not very good. Had to complain to get main meals which arrived one hour after we ordered. It seems they were trying to save money by serving half portions of salmon (which was over cooked). The burger was inedible (how can you ruin a burger!). We did get a free drink and our water was removed from the bill. Following day treated to overcooked breakfast. Asked for ice water, was told I had to get it myself; however there was no water available. Finally got room temp water. Later needed to order room service. No answer on the room service number. Reception put me through to the bar, which did finally answer. Was told everything I wanted was not available and there was very little they had (apparently they had fridge problems). Had to go out to Tesco to get sandwiches. On check out we only received a weak apology but no compensation. Whoever gave this hotel 4 stars needs to be retrained in hospitality. Although some staff were nice we would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Good
Liked: Grounds are beautiful
Disliked: Room was tired, poorly stocked bathroom, with loo roll and soaps running out during our stay(we were there for 2 nights). There was limited tea and coffee in the room too - had to ask for more from reception.Room was poorly ventilated, and on one of the hottest weekends of the year, it made for an uncomfortable couple nights!

Nice buildings, nice location, but...
Liked: Lovely place. Just lovely. Nice location, views, buildings. Apart from the Saturday morning breakfast team, who weren’t impressive, the staff seemed engaged.
Disliked: Breakfast on the Saturday morning was a challenge, queue at 08.30, waited quarter of an hour for tea/coffee, couldn’t face the idea of ordering poached eggs given the wait for coffee. And when I looked at my bill, I’d paid nearly £200 for the night, which is a lot to end up feeling harassed at breakfast. Charge that much, and skill up the Saturday morning crew, please, so that they’re comparable to the crew we’d had the previous (significantly cheaper) morning. Things like eye contact and observation. Our room was annoying, lovely big windows but unable to open them. Yippee, let’s come to Norfolk for some fresh air, and not be able to get any in our rooms. And one of our group (the one with the walking frame) had trouble getting into his car in the early evening because of the Prom cars arriving. And goodness only knows why our bed had an inbuilt trip hazard designed to bash toes after overnight bathroom trips.
