Liked: The food was lovely and the spa first class.
Disliked: The room decor was a bit tired.There weren’t many walks that did not encroach on the golf course.The room arrangement is not advertised- we would like to choose a specific room.

Calm, friendly, welcoming and relaxing.

Liked: The grounds and the building are exceptionally beautiful. Use of the hotel facilities was fantastic. The breakfast buffet was brilliant with lots of choice. Staff were friendly and always checked you were ok.

Overall a pleasant hotel but...

Liked: The hotel is in a very accessible and pleasant location. Very nice looking hotel, room was nice, clean and spacious
Disliked: Evening meal was not a pleasant experience. Started with not being told serving times in the bar for food (also not shown on the flyer given at check-in) which resulted in myself and several other groups having to turn up at the restaurant without a reservation. Fair play I got a table and when served the food was fine, but there was an excessively long wait for the food, there were a couple of loud and rowdy groups which also spoilt the atmosphere and experience of rhe restaurant. Most tables did complain, so much so I did not bother as I would simply be complaining about the same things that clearly the staff could not do much about. At checkout, I was given the cold shoulder, no pleasantries or query about how my stay was, staff member even came across a little disgruntled when I asked for my invoice. Overall a pleasant hotel but my timing was bad and overall wasn't the most enjoyable of stays
