Liked: Very helpful staff. Food was amazing and hotel was lovely and clean. I will definitely be booking back in here again.

Liked: The hotel is really nice and in a great location. The room was really nice and comfortable and the staff super friendly. The breakfast was very nice.
Disliked: We came in the off season and most of the hotel was closed. We loved the room but had a view on the emergency stairs and bins which was not really nice when you know it is empty.

Disappointing stay!
Liked: Location very good, superior bedroom was very clean and lovely decor, but if I’m being honest it was a little on the small side.The guy on reception on checkin was very polite & pleasant.
Disliked: As we entered the reception area there was a very strong musky smell?We were then informed that the restaurant, bar and lounge area were closed! So basically 50% of the hotel not in use. We had planned to use the restaurant in the evening along with drinks in the bar, and it would have been nice to use the lounge to relax, after all the above facilities were the reason we booked this hotel!So after checkin we were shown how to get to our room, which was outside the main entrance then into the other side of the hotel where we were told there was a snack type bar bistro where we could purchase drinks etc. (so all not lost) however when we came back to the hotel at 2:15pm for a drink/snack, the bar/bistro was locked ? We were not informed this would be the case?After returning in the evening 10:30pm we were going to order a nightcap, but again the area was in darkness & locked.At £160 for the night we found this very overly priced and may as well have booked a simple B&B at half the price!After I booked with booking.com I received 2 emails directly from the hotel with information etc. why were we not informed that 50+% of the hotel were closed, maybe then we would have had the opportunity to cancel our booking and stay elsewhere with all the facilities we required?I appreciate the fact that it is off season and there were very few guests staying there, but management should notify guests and let them know that certain areas and facilities are not in use?

Liked: Very friendly staff, and exceptionally high quality food both breakfast and especially dinner
Disliked: The lift is a bit small!
