We got what we expected

Liked: Very good breakfast, room was clean and tidy, its an old hotel, so didn't expect it to be in brand new condition..Car park tucked away round the back..400 metres flat walk to seafront

Liked: Staff were attentive and helpful
Disliked: We expected to stay in the old part of the hotel which was shown in the photographs on bookings.com, but when we arrived we found that we were staying and dining in the New Dunoon, we asked if we could be moved to the old traditional wing of the hotel but were informed that there were 60 school children staying there.This was a disappointment as we were looking forward to dining in the beautiful Edwardian hall and relaxing with a drink in the traditional bar.

Liked: The rooms are lovely, modern, well decorated, clean with well designed showers, a perfect walk in shower. The hotel and our room were warm and welcoming. The staff are lovely very helpful and inviting. Just have to mention Gerwyn the general manager such a delight to meet a professional polite gentleman who couldn't help us enough to enjoy our break. Breakfast was perfectly cooked fresh and hot. Excellent value February break we will definitely pay more to stay again.
Disliked: Despite booking the Dunoon hotel this wasn't the traditional Dunoon hotel. We stayed in the hotel annex called "Next Door". It wasn't the olde world expectation of the Dunoon. It is a modern bright hotel and has a different style restaurant and ambiance.

Liked: I could not really say because the property was only a quarter open, if we had of known this when we had booked through your website we would not have booked.
Disliked: It wasn’t properly open, no lounge areas quite annoying once again your website did not explain this and we paid £330 for this experience
