Pleasant stay

Liked: Beautiful location with lovely hotel grounds. The room was large and spacious, with many original features. Although it appears to be a busy hotel with residents and non-residents, it was a quiet, pleasant atmoshere.Plenty car parking.
Disliked: Bed mattress needs to be replaced, and electric shower was noisy, but overall, would stay again.

Very enjoyable base whilst attending...

Liked: The choice at breakfast was very good, a cooked breakfast was cooked freshly for each guest. We ate three times in the restaurant and again the food was cooked fresh and always came out steaming hot and tasted lovely. The hotel is also central to Alloa, Stirling, the Falkirk Wheel and the Kelpies
Disliked: The hotel could do with a little updating in some areas but this did not detract from our stay. There are lovely comfortable settees in the entrance hall. A welcoming bar and restaurant and the staff are very helpful, especially the lady serving us breakfast, unfortunately I didnt get her name. The gardens are lovely with lots of seating.

Liked: Lovely hotel great location. Staff very polite friendly and helpful. Food was excellent all cooked fresh. Quick to respond to any request or issue.
Disliked: Bathroom was quite tired , 1 light fitting out of its socket , bath panels worn and need replacing asap.

Good old fashioned hotel

Liked: Very nice hotel/house, comfortable, in a green neighborhood with a lot of space around. Warm welcome and a good restaurant. Helpful staff, thanks for everything!
Disliked: In the bathroom walls with signs of old humidity (coming from the ceiling window) and a noisy radiator during the night.

Exceptional

Liked: Our 1st time in Scotland and our 1st night. what a relaxing location so easy to find from the airport. Meals are amazing, staff are very friendly. Holidays are to explore an relax, this has it all completely away from the city congestion

Amazing place! Would definitely stay...

Liked: The most stunning location! The hotel is beautiful, cosy and warm and so were the staff and all guests I met there! I was travelling solo with my little dog and staff were super helpful and accommodating. Delusions food!
Disliked: The only constructive feedback would be that matters could do with a topper as it wasn’t very comfortable.

All fine, quite a few...

Liked: While the hotel has a bit of patina and the room was a little tired, the breakfast, home-style cooking, location, and staff were all lovely. We stayed here for both the first and last leg of our holiday trip — so yes, we came back for a second time. You don’t expect luxury for the price, but you do get a decent stay with good grub.
Disliked: Maybe an overall polishing/windows cleaning etc. of the rooms would be nice, but we did not mind a whole lot.
