Good location and lovely staff....

Liked: Location and staff were great.
Disliked: The bathroom ceiling was covered in black mold and the bath and shower screen. I contacted the owners to tell them that in my opinion this accommodation was not fit for letting and advise that their description of the accommodation was misleading. I got no response.

Comfortable, clean and cosy country...

Liked: A very relaxing old style hotel house. Very freindly staff. Our room was very spacious. Had braised beef in dining room - very nice. Breakfast was good

Liked: the staff make this place, otherwise we probably wouldn't bother, so well done them!
Disliked: The bed was so uncomfortable, I can forgive the very tatty (paint peeling off ceilings) decor but when you cannot sleep due to an old knackered mattress that needs to be fixed.

Nicely different from a 'chain'...

Liked: Location is nice and quiet. The house is old and quaint. Big private car park, Fast Wi-Fi. The food was excellent and served nice and hot. Not bad value for money and better than a faceless 'chain' hotel.
Disliked: Quiet location is away from any local amenities. The interior needs a refresh and my room was shabby with peeling wall paper, loose taps and main radiator didn't work, good job it is nearly summer.
