Disappointed
Liked: The grounds. Nicely appointed rooms. Good meal and service in the bar
Disliked: I was a little disappointed as I did not realise, was not made aware that we were not in the main building, but in an annexe. We actually didn’t even see the main house . Breakfast was disgusting. Really awful coffee. And horrible food choices prewrapped

Beautiful, but I would ask...
Liked: Beautiful house, easy to find, accessible to local town.
Disliked: WiFi was the worst, just kept cutting out. Although I asked about it, no one came to work on it.We were on the middle floor and the guys above were super loud and super clumpy around their floor, and got up around 5.30 am to shout and clump around again for an hour before finally leaving. There’s almost zero sound proofing. Whilst it’s not the hotels fault what their guests do, it didn’t make our stay great.

overall, enjoyed the stay.
Liked: The Home was beautiful!
Disliked: Very little to NO service once checked in. Asked for an extra blanket, never got it. Our coffee maker did NOT work, our TV did not work. The bed was HARD and I was sore for a few days after I left!

Eat here and stay elsewhere.
Liked: Architecture and grounds. Pub was excellent. Staff at Pub was very efficient and friendly. It was quiet. Bathroom and room were immaculately clean. Excellent shower.
Disliked: Breakfast was like a convenience store. Everything was prepackaged. Everything. No House tours except on weekends. No decor in 3rd story bedroom: no drapes (but brackets still on the wall) and poorly arranged furniture. Table lamp did not work.

we enjoyed the location but...
Liked: the historic home was beautiful and the grounds were lovely.
Disliked: property was not ADA compliant, breakfast was not available one morning, and the loft bedroom was too hot for comfort.

Interesting place with problems in...
Liked: Great location, authentic atmosphere in hotel rooms. Nice little park, wonderful look at the main building, especially in the evening. No problem with parking.
Disliked: Amount of (electric) light in the room was clearly insufficient. The shampoo bottle was already used (half empty). One bulb did not work and was not replaced during our stay although the stuff was notified at check-in.

Lovely location in a city...
Liked: Location; ambience; inclusion of home tour; on site restaurant.
Disliked: The breakfast was probably one of the worst - and I say this since I now know that the property is owned by a hotel chain. NO healthy food choices (pop tarts, sugared granola bars, sugared waffles, sugared yogurt). It seems that with an on site restaurant that there could have been a few other choices. However I understand that the site is catering to a small number each morning. On the ground floor was a sign pointing to the ice machine. After wandering around looking for it, I was told by front desk that it was now on the 3rd floor. Shouldn’t be too hard to move the sign

Nice place, has a great...
Liked: Nice room, cosy atmosphere. Beautiful historical building
Disliked: Litter scattered across the property. General cleaning of the room could have been better. 24h reception does not mean, that somebody is on site all the time (telephone number to call somebody).

A finely restored historical property...
Liked: Unfortunately the restaurant and bar that were advertised were closed
