Vaguely disappointed.

Liked: Location good, the bar was smart, staff friendly, ladies rest room immaculate.
Disliked: Our bedroom was tired and in need of refurbishing. One curtain had fallen down which we discovered on our return to the room (someone must have known about it when servicing the room as it came off the end of the rail, but nothing done). A member of the bar staff put it back and it lasted the night but we didn’t dare touch it. Breakfast on day 1 was fine, day 2, a complete disaster. A group of 11 had just put their order in before us, we waited 45 minutes which was totally unacceptable. The staff were very apologetic, management knew there was a large group and the kitchen should have been staffed accordingly. Whilst we found the public car park easily, to have to pay £5.60 for 3 hours is expensive. Could the hotel come to some agreement with the council for free parking for residents of the hotel?

Slamming doors!

Liked: Very close to the beach. Great smell of sea air & waking up to seagulls each morning. Breakfast was fine.
Disliked: No desk or table in room. Not vacuumed after cleaner had been in. First night I had twin singles, got an apology & a bottle of water. Too many chairs in the room, really crappy 1970s furniture. Doors slamming continuously. I checked out a day early. Would not go back.

Consistently good value and service...

Liked: I have stayed here a lot and it is great value, excellent service and great location. I was in room 4 overlooking the front/great view. We didn't eat but we did have a late night drink in the bar. Water pressure a bit low but I wasn't staying there for long. Breakfast is always good and the best thing is that it is from 7, so you can get on with your day. Going back again soon for another trip and I rate this place highly.
Disliked: Water pressure a bit low and bathroom looking a bit tired, but for the price, it is just fine.

Excellent location of hotel, food...

Liked: The friendliness of the staff was great. The food was excellent and the location superb
Disliked: It would have been a real help if there was a service offered to take our suitcases to our room as there is no lift

Great location and friendly staff

Liked: The staff were friendly and very helpful. Brilliant location, you can step out of the hotel and there are many restaurants and pubs to choose from, although the hotel has its own bar and restaurant if you don't want to walk far.
Disliked: Room was very hot due to being located at the top of the building and the window not opening fully. Very minor cleaning issues such as a bit of mould on the sink and tiles in the bathroom, the rest of the room was very clean. The shower was a little bit difficult to work and noisy.
