Hotel great. Food not so...

Liked: Staff were very friendly and helpful. Cocktail waiter was fantastic
Disliked: Food in the dining hall (dinner) wasn’t great. Which I complained about at the time and they were good about it.Simple things like providing the correct cutlery for the right dish and serving coffee/tea in anything other than takeaway cups….although small, would have a big impact.

Liked: Setting is beautiful and the staff are very helpful and efficient. Food is good and the conservatory is beautiful for dining.
Disliked: Would prefer if they served the coffee and tea at breakfast . Takes time to get coffee, collect your buffet breakfast and make toast! Otherwise breakfast is great and offers a very good choice of delicious things.

Liked: Stayed for a wedding which was a great night however the room was uncomfortably warm even with the windows open making it impossible to sleep

Liked: the breakfast was very good, choice on offer was good, and also the option to order more choice from the kitchen. the menu for dinner was great for myself.The room was spacious and very clean.
Disliked: service in the morning wasn't fantastic due to orders taken but not receiving pancakes on both days. my wife who is vegetarian didn't have that much choice to choose from. on the dinner menu.the mattress wasn't very comfortable on our second stay here.

Liked: The location is outstanding. The breakfast was sumptuous and the staff friendly and very helpful.

Beautiful hotel and great for...

Liked: Lovely hotel, beautiful grounds and lovely walks. Although the decor was dark it was nicely done, Breakfast was exceptional. Stayed previously and the same high standards were attained. Leisure Club is very good with a fine range of facilities.
Disliked: Dinner was average but above average price. Not a large choice and no separate bar menu. Plenty staff on the go but generally very young and did not have the finesse or attention to detail you would expect when paying a premium price.
